Yesterday’s sacred “2 for 7” signing ceremony served as a milestone for over 1000 second-class midshipmen at USNA. Harrison Henry along with his classmates signed their official commitments to not only completing the next two years of education and training at the Naval Academy in Annapolis but then to fulfilling a minimum of five years active-duty service as commissioned officers in the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps anywhere in the world. May God bless and keep them all. 🇺🇸

5 years of Arkansas Boys State and I still get emotional thinking about what this program means to me and much importantly, what these young men mean to me. I came in wanting to pour into them, and somehow they ended up pouring right back. Watching boys walk through those doors nervous and unsure, and then seeing them leave as leaders, as brothers, as men who believe in themselves, there are no better words. The laughs, the late nights, the real conversations, the moments nobody else will ever understand, I carry all of it. To my guys: you are the reason I do this. Keep leading. Keep showing up. The world needs exactly who you’re becoming. Year 5 complete. Jobs not finished.

USNA flew 100 midshipmen including Harrison to Tulsa for the Navy football game. It was so good to hug his neck!
