1. INTENTIONALITY
Being intentional with anything you do in life is the determining factor that will you get you where you want in life. Intention will always outweigh motivation because intention is what fuels discipline. When I was starting this pop-up, I knew I wanted to bring a different culture to San Antonio compared to what they’ve been used to all these years. I wanted to bring together a community of people who all have similar interests and mindsets and people who just love to be around others.

2. COMMUNICATION
If you’re going to work business with someone or a team in general, then communication is the foundation of all success. You have to make sure you are constantly reaching out to your team no matter if you feel the matter is big or small. Those small texts, updates, and reminders go a very long way in the bigger picture.

3. SACRIFICE
When starting out in a business, there’s always gonna have to be sacrifices. You’re going to have very long nights and early mornings because time does not wait on anyone, you have to make time your asset or else you’re wasting it. You’re going to miss out on things with your friends but it’s important to stay grounded and remember what the goal in mind is. That goal in mind will always keep you moving if you’re truly willing to sacrifice what needs to be sacrificed in order to meet that goal and accomplish what you want.

4. TAKE RISKS
As my friend chapo would say, you cannot be afraid to take risks on yourself. If you don’t take a risk on yourself, who else will do it for you? No one. You gotta put yourself in that water if you really wanna swim. If you don’t advocate for yourself then no one else will do it for you. Having an intentional plan is good, but taking risks are gonna be necessary if you truly want to grow in anything that you do.

5. HOSPITALITY
Making sure that ALL of your guests and vendors feel welcomed and safe is KEY. Welcoming all of your vendors with a smile and respect goes a very long way. First impressions are very important and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
