i turned 29 years old a lil over a week ago,
and i’m making this post mostly just to say:

depression looks different on everyone
and it’s hard to know what people need when going through it

this is a mildly random selection of photos that warmed my heart (there are so many more but i’m far too unwell to give enough of a shit to put more effort in and make sure i spotlight each angel im grateful for)

it’s hard for me to remember how many beautiful people i have in my life that are more than willing to be there for me,
when i’m constantly chasing love from those who maybe can’t or don’t want to or whatever the case may be

i feel like some have fully given up on me
and that’s okay, because i know it seems like i’ve given up on everyone including myself

i cannot stress enough how much i love my friends and family
and the excruciating pain i feel daily having nothing to give and rarely any interest to reach out or be reached out to

so anyway,
this isn’t a totally sad story,
i am simply,
under construction

an existence hiatus
i’m working on it

thank you for those who’ve stuck around
and for the birthday love and the reminders that i have all the support i need, when im ready to ask for it

i miss you all so very much
i miss myself so very much

i love my parents and sister and so many more of my family members who have been there for me, loved and supported me endlessly. but this one’s for the friends. thank you for keeping my head above water. didn’t manage to get everyone into this video, but i hope you know whether you’re in it or not - how much i appreciate and love you.

this has been one of the most beautiful birthdays, if not the best one to date.

my time spent at home the last few months has been so healing, so heartwarming. i am so unbelievably blessed to be surrounded by such loving and special people.

i was planning to thank each person involved in this post & my birthday weekend, but let’s be honest: words aren’t enough.

so i’ll just say this,
i don’t know where i’d be without you but i am so glad i never have to find out.
