Last week, I went to support a friend and her business, and it got me thinking about something I’ve never fully understood.

Why is it that when someone is brave enough to build something, the people closest to them are sometimes the quietest?

Not everyone will clap for you. Some will sit on the sidelines, watching and maybe even hoping it doesn’t work out.

And honestly, that reaction usually has very little to do with the person trying and everything to do with what their courage is bringing up in you.

If someone else’s success makes you feel bitter, don’t ignore it. Get curious. What is it showing you about something you wish you had started, pursued or believed was possible for yourself?

And if you’re the one building something and not receiving the support you expected, don’t let that make you question your vision. Pay attention to the people who do show up. Protect what you’re creating, and stop looking for validation from people committed to misunderstanding it.

Someone else’s light doesn’t dim yours.

And your job is not to convince everyone to believe in you. It’s to keep believing in yourself. 🤍

A little proof that while summer may be considered the “slow season” in South Florida real estate… we stayed busy.

The biggest and most heartfelt thank you to every single person who made me feel so loved on my birthday.

Every call. Every text. Every message. Every gift. Every person who took even a moment out of their life to think of me know that I felt it. And I don’t take any of it for granted.

The older I get, the more aware I become of just how precious and fleeting this life really is. We are all moving through it together, never quite knowing how much time we have with one another. And I think one of the greatest things we can do while we’re here is make sure the people we love actually feel that love. To let them feel our care, our presence, our thoughtfulness, our energy not someday, but now.

This birthday reminded me just how fortunate I am to be surrounded by people who do exactly that. I could never thank you enough for the love you poured into me. But please know that I felt every bit of it, and I will carry it with me long after this has passed.

I love you all, deeply. And I am so grateful we get to experience this beautiful life together. 🤍
