We celebrated Jonathan's 5th grade graduation/awards ceremony last Friday. With 2 kids transitioning to new schools next year, I've been ALL up in my feelings. I'm so, SO proud of this kid. Learning takes some extra work for him. We've both worked hard (along with some fantastic teachers and administrators) to help him become more successful in the classroom. His hard work paid off during the awards ceremony when he received "Most improved MAP score for Science" and the Presidential Silver award for A's and B's on his report card. (And he received recognition for his involvement with the 4H BB gun team this year.) We are so thankful for the teachers and staff who have poured into our children for the last 10 years. It's going to be so hard to say "See ya later" on Wednesday because I'm certainly not saying goodbye to such precious people who've become family. (Oh, and that big sloth? That's Mr. Slothington, who was a "student" and J's BFF in Mrs. Elliot's class)
