Thank you Artist Sarah @s_collectionsbh.art for creating and completing a void space of emotions through your masterclass Art piece upon my request, This is going to be in my heart and memories for eternity.
Art can speak things that can't always be said with words. Through your craft, you helped me to evoke and validate my emotions, providing comfort that I am not the only ones feeling in a certain way.
And for the world I am sharing with you the Poem on which this art piece have been created and the YouTube Link containing song created on the same.

Red Coat & Lipstick

Red Coat, red Lipstick & Red heels on her feet,
She came as a rainbow after a blessed rainfall.

Her hairs were dark, like clouds cooling summer’s heat,
She has that smile, winning hearts of all.

She walked like an angel, on the streets of Prague,
Drizzling rain, cool breeze, & he was craving for one hug.

Glowing skin, bright eyes, she was the only star in the night,
Beauties in the ambience he left behind, to follow her to right.

Beneath the coat, beneath the finest layer of her heart,
He wanted to feel, the treasures of her aura.

She lasted like a rainbow, disappearing in the sky,
Leaving the colours of infinite emotions on his soul.

Jai.

It Was Never Real

Step out of your hiding place
You don’t even need to dry your tears
Erase the ancient letters tucked in your mind’s bookcase
You’ve been stabbed enough with their spears

Leave your cave of darkness
Free yourself from your own mind
Taste the freedom of the wilderness
Don’t flood your head with a futile tide

Shine..dance..don’t hide
Abandon the shame you feel
Breathe..sing..rise with pride
For darling….it was never real!

Interview #5 in my annual #BCPoetry interview series with Read Local BC is here! This one is with poet Tāriq Malik about his debut collection, "Exit Wounds," which was recently published by Caitlin Press.

In addition to the book, we talk about Tāriq's fleeing Kuwait during the first Gulf War, the South Asian poets who influenced his writing, and the role the Poets Corner Reading Series has played in his life.

I hope you enjoy! (Link in my bio.)

Peony Love

All day and all night, I wrote and wrote
Many of the words that were stuck in my throat

I etched them on peony petals
Along with droplets of your scent wrapped in pink feathers

I scattered them all over my soul
They fit perfectly and healed my wounded whole

I painted your portrait with letters of my name
To claim my home in your embrace during this waiting game

I’ll continue to write on peony petals with crystals of dew
Until someday, you’ll know how much I love you!
