Don't forget!
Tomorrow night (Thursday, 10/22) will be the last Ambient Thursday show until January, as we have decided not to compete with Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Don't worry! We'll be back.
This month's TSPPATRW series presents Spookstina + Lunar Creature (Raleigh, OBX), and welcomes back Monodux (Chapel Hill).

Spookstina creates layers of textural drone through a rotating arsenal of conduits, often including bass, contact mics, vocals, found sound and more. Her work explores ideas of impermanence, biophonic & geophonic mimicry, meditative states and solitude.

Lunar Creature is an evolving experiment of heavy and emotive textures featuring guitar, strings, synths, and sound recordings. We have appeared around the world as a primarily live experience, and continue to be involved in many releases and projects as solo artists, band members, and collaborators. As interdisciplinary artists and musicians, our imprint and collection across forms, called Ephemera House, is a very human and joyously un-optimized attempt to acknowledge the past, present, and future of our creative lives. Lunar Creature has released two albums through the Ephemera House imprint, and is currently working on a collaboration with the experimental artist Spookstina.

I had strayed from the beaten path, walking carefully through briars and grounded vines, to stumble upon this most seemingly unremarkable scene.

For long enough to notice shifting sunrays, I stood stock still. One must be patient, just as nature is, to see its true colors.

Then suddenly, as if a magic wand were waved, the birds started singing again, full-heartedly, and foraging critters got back to work in the briars and underbrush, detecting not a single threat of danger.

It truly is a full-glass orchestra of song and rustling that melts air, sound, and scent into the wind, and then into our very beings, and is so precious and sensitive that even the tiniest snap of a twig can halt it again in an instant. How many times have I visited this place?... it could never be counted by myself, or anyone else!

So in-tuned is this remarkable world, and we all are already completely and fully connected.
Thank you for reading.🌾🌳🌼
