Bravo to all the groups who performed yesterday! 👏🏼
So proud of our students and all the hard work they put into their performances. It was wonderful to see them grow as musicians and collaborators! See you soon on December 1. ❤️

Couldn’t wait any longer to post just a handful of the incredible graduates who kept me busy this spring semester. Capturing your special moments as a fellow graduating senior made every session so exciting; thank you for putting your trust in me! 🎓🎉

I had so much fun at FOOSA this year!! I got to see some familiar faces as well as some new ones. Thank you to @emmahill1124 and @luis_cerrillos for letting me stay at your place with Cabernet and Latte!! Of course we went back to collect coffee but I drank it too fast both times and didn’t get any pictures. It’s always great getting to play in Walt Disney Concert Hall, but it’s even better when you are playing Alpine Symphony and Miraculous Mandarin with the best viola section. Thank you everyone for giving advice and helping me through a difficult time in my life, I’m truly grateful to have such wonderful mentors and friends.

… I blinked🎓☝🏼

Time is literally not real. Four years ago, an advisor at OU told me that while it was technically possible, he REALLY didn’t recommend double majoring in STEM and business in four years.. I get why he said that. But all I heard was possible and somehow, here we are.

There are definitely things I would change about my college experience, but I wouldn’t change what it taught me. Besides feeling like I was learning two different languages going from exercise physiology to finance classes, the biggest lesson had nothing to do with school at all.

I spent so much time chasing goals, trying to build the future I wanted, that I forgot the people around me while doing it. And somewhere along the way, I realized that success genuinely means nothing if you have nobody to share it with.

So today, while I’m incredibly proud to be graduating with two degrees, what I’m most proud of is the people standing beside me. The friends who stayed, the family who supported me, and the fact that there are people who love me enough to sit through not one, but two 2.5+ hour graduation ceremonies.

OU gave me more than an education. It gave me some of my best friends. I’ll miss walking down the hall to Reed & Jake’s apartment, going upstairs to bother Hannah & Emily, and all the little moments in between, that somehow became the big ones.

It’s hard to believe this chapter is over, but I’m so thankful for everyone that got me here, and even more thankful that this is only the beginning. BOOMER❤️☝🏼
