Too many events to fit in the carousel this week! You can find Halloween parties and costume contests all over, but also check out a haunted house for dogs, a fall photo-op, a singles event and bikejoring!

Does your dog tolerate costumes? Kiwi and Peach do well with things on their body, but they hate hats!

When your neighborhood spots are this good, leaving the zip code is strictly optional.

We are also looking for:

-website design and build,
- corporate sponsors
- stores/biz that want to partner with us on collecting food & other donations &/or hanging a flyer
- biz interested in hosting events & fundraisers,
- raffle donations,

Please help us get the exposure we need to do this great work-

Happy Friday y’all!

We have our first event coming up! I was just asked by our dog obsessed friends at Recess Beer Garden LoHi to join them for a Pacifico Beer YAPPY HOUR:

Sunday, Oct 4 1:30-3:30 pm

Pacifico will donate $1 for every Pacifico sold and Recess will match! They also always have fun activities and cool swag- more details to come!

While we’ll still be in the licensing process and won’t have dogs in rescue by then, Recess is happy support get us going, fundraise and get our name out there! It will be a great way to meet our team and sign up some new volunteers and fosters.

And have you been to Recess? Dogs are treated like royalty, misters if it’s hot, indoor and patio seating, amazing food, fun vibes, Pacifco, and an amazing spot to watch Sunday Football!

Leash up your pup and join us, and please spread the word!

Please help us get the exposure we need to do this great work!

Exciting milestone reached today...the courtyard work is done! Well, almost. construction fences are gone and landscaping is complete. That means, no more heavy construction work happening. Thank you for your patience while we improved things a bit. Good times on the courtyard are here...once the furniture gets in. It's on order, it'll be here soon. And so will our awesome new businesses @recess_denver, @copperdoorcoffee and @lavogue_nailsandspa and @offthebottlerefillshop.

August on film, biiiiiiig time film dump this time 🤝

August was a big month! @mtjoyband returned for our annual takeover of Denver, complete with two red rocks shows and our popup, so a looooot of pics from last month were at the shows and are BTS of the popup at @recess_denver . I’ve gotten in the habit of taking my point and shoot everywhere with me in my back pocket - so I was able to snap a bunch of fun shots here and there that (mostly) have no propose at all. I took my full diesel camera up to RRX with a few rolls too - and man, it was surreal to take pictures at such a sacred place. I’m finally getting the hang of shooting at night, even if some of the shots come out way too moody or look like they’re taken at a party with ten thousand of our friends.

I also went on a boat day for a friend’s birthday! I got way too sunburnt but ripped so many diet cokes and bero’s, you’d think it was my job. Making time for myself outside of work has become an increasingly important thing to me - I get so swallowed up by long hours during the summer, it felt incredible to disconnect from the world for a bit leading up to such a hectic week in CO. We then hit @mastacos (as usual) and I ripped too many tacos and plantains… fun day.

Then lastly, more @nashvillesc as always - somewhere that’s very quickly become a home away from home, where I’m surrounded by my people and have found a sense of community stronger than really anywhere else I’ve ever stumbled upon. There were also a few shots leftover on a roll from my time in WA from last month, which I’m unbelievably excited to return to later this year - but that’s for another post 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

Thanks, as always, for being here folks.
