HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!!

3 years ago, I took on a small indy film with a big/complicated build, and I had an all woman crew. (With the exception of 1 sculpter who came in for a few days and the shop owner/ business partner who let me do this out of his shop.)

My wife @m.alexandra_pacheco loves pickles, but she would definitely not love the pickles from the Welcome to Derry scene!🎈🎈🎈

That scene really stuck with me, I absolutely loved it, and that’s why I had no choice but to make myself a jar just like in the scene for my personal collection.🎈🎈🎈and I really really love the Series🎈🎈🎈

A little nod to her, to her sense of humor, her likes (and dislikes!), and to all the love I have for her.😂😂

The amazing and original pieces made for the real pickle jar scene in Welcome to Derry were created by this amazing and spectacular Artists🤘🤘

Lets talk black phone 2!!
It has recently been brought to my attention that there were only 3 credits distributed for our prosthetic team on the feature Black Phone 2. This is extremely disappointing since there was so much hard work put in by many people on this big build.

I specifically want to mention @kombatbaby who did @ethanhawke makeup with me, then ended up taking over the key role on main unit for the final week, the additional days added to the main shoot, and on the reshoots that happened in June while I was overseas. 🙏
Also @deceptionfx (@kurboost_ ) who came back to Mindwarp to help since I was dealing with a lot of family stuff on the other side of Canada at the time. She also stayed late multiple time and worked weekends when needed, and was a huge help on set. 🙏
Francois Dagenais (@mindwarpfx) was given the credit "Special Effects Makeup" when he was the Designer of the new look of the grabber and the other prosthetics.
I know it's normal for TV not to include everyone, and that is to be expected, however, on a feature, I am genuinely shocked and gutted.
