When your local library throws Frog and Toad a 50th birthday picnic

Follow @nestwellfamily for more free things to do with kids in the Sacramento suburbs 🌿

Maidu Library hosted the most whimsical free event this Saturday. Kite coloring and flying, lemonade and cookies, a read-aloud from the actual book.

Frog and Toad is one of Carter’s bedtime staples, so we made a whole morning of it, buttons and thimbles from @recreateorg in Rocklin, sewn onto their sweaters.

This is the kind of event that’s easy to miss if you’re not checking your library’s page. Worth checking.
