@openhousefamily presents @brooklynterryef house dance workshop!!! 06/25/2026 Thursday 8:30pm workshop 10pm session @piyodaflow 2803 Crenshaw Blvd LA CA $30 ( include the session after) Registration link in our bio In 2003, @brooklynterryef and @emikosmile embarked on a House Dance Workshop Tour across California, stopping in Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. For many dancers in California, it was their first opportunity to learn House dance directly from a legendary dancer from New York City. During that tour, Terry told Emiko, “If you really want to understand House culture, you need to go to New York.” Emiko took those words to heart and traveled to NYC that same summer. It was the beginning of @soulsummitmusic in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Park, an experience that became one of the major inspirations behind the creation of Open House in 2009. Fast forward to today, and a new generation continues to learn, share, and carry this culture forward. While information is more accessible than ever through the internet and social media, there is still no substitute for learning directly from those who have lived the culture, traveled the world, built communities, and exchanged real human energy along the way. Unless you make the trip to New York, opportunities to learn from Terry in person are rare. Take advantage of this chance to connect with him and receive some of the wisdom he’s gathered throughout his lifetime. Even if you walk away with just 2% of his experience, that 2% could become a powerful beginning to your own journey. Come through!!! #housedance #housemusic #housedanceculture #legend #mustcome

@openhousefamily 17 Year Anniversary Party April 4th, Sat, 2026 9pm till late @psstudio_dtla Open House core members grew up in the club. For over 20 years, we’ve gathered every day of the week from 10pm until late, building something far deeper than just a party. This is a space where we explore self-expression through music, where connection happens naturally within ourselves and with each other. It’s not just about having fun; it’s about stepping into a timeless dimension where sound carries us into something cosmic, almost meditative. Every dancer who steps into that moment holds a story. Each movement is an expression coming to life raw, real, and truly priceless. People often ask what they’ll gain from coming to Open House. The answer isn’t something tangible. Just like anything material only holds value when a story is attached to it, this experience finds its meaning in what you feel and live in the moment. When we dance, we truly connect with music, and our life becomes more meaningful. This is about real human energy sharing, exchanging, and feeling on a deeper level. You won’t be able to hold it in your hands, but your heart will carry the moment forever. So come through, be present, and let the experience speak for itself. DJ set time 9pm @ritchmirez 10:30pm @bigceezey 12:30am @azul213 2:30am @samosoto Ticket info in our bio #OH17LA #losangelesparty #thissaturday #housemusicalllifelong #housedanceculture

For 17 years, @openhousefamily has been a place where we come together, in person, to share energy, dance, and build community. Every step, every move, every beat shared over these 17 years has built a community that cares, supports, and lifts each other up. This year holds extra meaning. On March 27th, our community member @gbaridenzel experienced cardiac arrest and is now in the process of recovering. GQ is a vital part of our community—the next generation carrying our culture forward with heart and dedication. We dance to process. We dance to heal. We dance to support each other. Open House is here for the community—and together, we keep building, celebrating, and moving as one. OH 17 Anniversary weekly session April 2, 2026 10pm-12am @piyodaflow 2803 Crenshaw Blvd LA $5 or more All the proceeds go to @gbaridenzel recovery Be present. Be together. Be in the cypher. ❤️ #OH17LA #housedanceculture #GbariStrong #CedarsSinaiHospital #Kaiser
