Water and Ash

You can be both water and ash
Simultaneously, no need to feel bad
Doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful
For all that you have
You’re just getting comfortable
With wearing a mask

It’s hard to see, til’ you’re looking back
At all the dreams, you never could catch
Are you fixed on tomorrow?
Are you stuck in the past?

I’ve worked so hard at building these walls
To protect my heart and my soul
I feel young, but I’m getting old
If it were up to me, then I’d never go
I would stay here forever and so would everyone else

@peteroooleary helped out with some of the lyrics, which ultimately lead to the title 😎🤘
Thank you @aanderlini for teaching me how to TravisPick 23 yrs ago. You opened so many doors for me!

Take the mask off

Just take the mask off baby
You’ll never wanna wear it again
Just take the mask off baby
It’s time to stop playing pretend

Hangin’ with our higher selves at the traffic light
It won’t turn without you
You’re taking your time
I hear your nervous and you
Can’t read my mind
But If you don’t say something soon
You’re gettin’ left behind

Give a little love (water, and sunshine)

Sweet baby, I can’t wait meet ya
Oh precious little child
I’m excited to teach ya
All the things that I have learned
From years of being on this earth

Just give a little love, water and sunshine
Just give a little love, water and sunshine
Oh give a little love, water and sunshine
It will grow to be extraordinary
Just give a little love, water and sunshine
and you’ll see

Maybe, you could be whoever you are
We’ll never shame you
For thinking outside of the norm

You could be whatever you want
A port or an astronaut

Somewhere, somehow

Heart on my sleeve like I always do
It didn’t go as planned, that’s ok too
I don’t know why you came to mind
When things were ending
I took it as a sign, now I’m like
Who the hell was I kidding

If I’d have known then
what I know right now
I’d have just left you alone
And you’d still be around

Heart on my sleeve, I took the fall
They say that it’s better to have loved and lost, then to have never have loved at all
I’ll probably do it again
That’s how I roll
I like doing the same things over again
Expecting different results

If I’d have known then
what I know right now
I’d have just left you alone
And you’d still be around

Should’ve , could’ve, would’ve
Never helps anyone
Just take it as a gift, not a punishment
I’m a gambler, no matter what I say
I doubled down this time
It could have gone either way now

If I’d have known then
what I know right now
I’d have just left you alone
And you’d still be around
But I didn’t know then
What I know right now
So I lost a friend somewhere, somehow

The Juggler

Well we all make mistakes a time or two
But there’s no one else I’d rather
Make mistakes with than you
Don’t you worry about what we lost
Who cares how much it costs
Just as long as we get to play pretend
Building castles in the sand my friend

We’ve already won, just doing what we love
If you wanna be the juggler
You have to push yourself as far as you can go

We get excited, while in the moment
You might fall or stub your toe
Even though it’s painful then
In the end it’s worth it all
You have to fail, if you wanna succeed
Silver linings always comfort me
I wish I had a dollar for every time
That I fell short

EPISODE 100 - The Final Letterboxd Top 250 Shuffle

Episode 100: LETTERBOXD TOP 250 SHUFFLE

Featuring: Ikiru (1952); Witness for the Prosecution (1957); Cinema Paradiso (1988); The Hunt (2012)

Folks, it’s happened. The pod has made it to episode 100 and what a journey it has been. We have watched hundreds of films, made thousands of connections, and even cried on occasion. The next 100 will be legendary! And with that, we also bring an end to one of our favorite segments, the Letterboxd Top 250 Shuffle. Find out why and where we go next on the podcast about cinema, the people behind it, and the intersection of everything… Wind, Reel, & Print.

Plus a new theme song by @red.head.fred !

The one that got away (from you)

Desperation is a stinky cologne
I would much rather be alone
Than to chase you down
And prove myself
I’m the best you’ll ever have
If you couldn’t tell already
I don’t know what to say cuz’
My waiting days are over

Somebody’s gonna snatch me up
Gonna tell me I’m the only one
They’ve ever been dreaming of
I’ll forever be the one who
Got a away from you

I expect the unexpected
I welcome pleasant surprises
I believe in the impossible
My cup has always been half full
I’m living my best life
I’m living the dream
I have everything I need

Somebody’s gonna snatch me up
Gonna tell me I’m the only one
They’ve ever been dreaming of
I’ll forever be the one who
Got a away from you

It hurts too much to watch
Gotta live my life before it’s gone

Somebody’s gonna snatch me up
Gonna tell me I’m the only one
They’ve ever been dreaming of
I’ll forever be the one who
Got a away from you

Olé Olé, Away Away⚽️✨

Catch the 2026 World Cup at Choctaw Durant Casino👏

SHINDIG created a custom version of “Olé, Olé” and captured audio on set to bring the energy to life in real time. Big thanks to our partners @trgcreativity for having us on this one!

Rumor has it Debbi’s still at the poker table—calm, composed, and quietly winning hands between takes.😏
