Behind every precaution is a life worth protecting. Our families, friends and communities all have a role to play in preventing the spread of Ebola.

Stay informed, practise good hygiene, and follow preventive guidance from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Small actions can make a big difference in keeping those we love safe.

Let’s look out for one another. Share this message with your family, friends and community. Together, we can spread awareness, not fear, and help protect lives.

Your drainage is NOT a dustbin! 🚯

Dumping waste in drainage channels can cause blockages, flooding, and damage to our homes and communities. 🌧️

This Tuesday, remember: a clean drainage is a safer community. Dispose of your waste properly and encourage others to do the same. Small actions can prevent big disasters!

MONDAY MOTIVATION

No act of kindness is ever wasted. Someone, somewhere, is better because you chose to care.

As you step into this new week, remember that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference. A kind word, a helping hand, or simply showing up for someone could mean more than you know.

This week, choose kindness. Choose humanity. Choose to make a difference.

One Day, You Might Be the Only Person Who Can Help. ❤️🩺

At the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Oyo State Branch, we believe that First Aid is everybody’s business!

That’s why we took lifesaving knowledge to thousands of corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ise, teaching them essential skills to help someone in an emergency.

From Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to recognising an unconscious casualty and knowing what to do, we are equipping more people with the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most.

Because when emergencies happen, knowing what to do can make all the difference. ❤️🚑

Have you ever received First Aid training? Tell us in the comments! 👇🏽

❤️ Mental Health Matters. You Matter.

Sometimes, the strongest people are fighting battles we cannot see. A little kindness, a listening ear, or simply asking someone, “Are you okay?” can make a world of difference. ❤️

This World Mental Health Day, the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Oyo State Branch, reminds you that caring for humanity also means caring for the mind. Let’s break the stigma, offer support, and create a world where no one has to struggle alone. 🫶

Your mental health matters. Always.

❤️ MEGA HEALTH OUTREACH | ONIREKE, AFONTA & DUGBE COMMUNITIES

On Thursday 1st October 2026, the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Oyo State Branch, took healthcare closer to the people through a Mega Health Outreach across Onireke, Afonta and Dugbe communities, reaching over 200 people with essential health services, screening and counselling.

Community members had their BMI checked, with counselling provided for those who were overweight or obese. Blood pressure checks were also carried out, alongside education on the risks of high and low blood pressure and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

We also provided testing for malaria, HIV, syphilis, blood sugar and Hepatitis B, with beneficiaries receiving counselling on prevention, modes of transmission and healthy practices.

Our medical team was also available to provide medical care and professional counselling to community members.

We are grateful to every Red Cross volunteer, medical professional and everyone who contributed to making today’s outreach a success.

Over 200 people reached, countless health conversations started, and one shared goal — bringing accessible healthcare closer to the people. ❤️

Thank you, Onireke, Afonta and Dugbe communities, for welcoming us. We are proud to serve.
