Day 26 of 95 Players to Know Before the 2026–27 College Basketball Season series.

Day 26:
Cobi Campbell (Liberty)

Campbell joins the Liberty Flames alongside his brother Cooper as they look to return to the NCAA Tournament after the brothers helped lead Troy to a Sun Belt championship last season.

Campbell was nothing short of a sharpshooter last year for the Trojans, shooting 40.2% from 3 on 7.4 3PAs/40.

Campbell was a crucial part of the Trojan offense last season, and it was reflected in the On/Off numbers:
eFG%: +7.4% (98th %tile)
2P%: +4.5% (88th %tile)
3P%: +7.5% (96th %tile)

His floor-spacing ability goes beyond just personal efficiency. With Campbell on the floor, the Trojans saw increases in efficiency in a number of areas:
At Rim FG%: +3.6% (76th %tile)
Paint 2 FG%: +6.5% (83rd %tile)
Mid-Range 2 FG%: +15.3% (96th %tile)

Campbell also did well to take care of the ball, posting a 10.7% TO% (75th %tile).

Another intriguing aspect of Campbell’s season is that, as of January, he was shooting 45.5% from 3, which at the time ranked 9th in the country among qualifying players. Unfortunately, Campbell suffered a sprained AC joint in his shooting shoulder, which impacted his overall efficiency for the remainder of the season.

The Campbell brothers join a Liberty squad that has ranked in the 95th percentile or better in 3PAr every season since 2020–21 and will look to help the Flames make another push for the NCAA Tournament.
