she’s a beaute! 😍 just wrapped up (…pun intended) this commission: creating a one-of-a-kind textile-wrapped frame + mat.

another fun collab with the folks over at @redbankframeworks, who don’t let a single detail go unnoticed (that’s museum-quality, UV protected glass! zero glare 👏)

I helped my client think through what would be visually interesting based on the art piece, and fit the feel of her space. after sourcing textile options from @porterdesigncompany, we landed on this soft blue-gray that complements the artwork without competing with it. the textile actually subtly shimmers in different light and angles, just like how water does. felt like the perfect fit. 🌊

a note: I am so grateful for the support of projects like these! for now, I’m paused on accepting new commissions while I focus on personal projects. if you’re looking for a unique frame to showcase your art, the team at @redbankframeworks has gorgeous, fully customizable options (including textured and colorful mat options) and will take great care of you!

custom textile-wrapped 3’ x 3’ frame, created as a statement piece for an interior design project ☀️

when @thefrenchmarkethome asked if I could help turn a client’s scarf into art, it was an easy “yes” for me. giving new life to personally meaningful objects is exactly my kind of project… and I loved that Carly was open to collaborating on making something unique.

this was a true team effort! how the vision came together: 1) I sourced this @thibaut_1886 textile from @porterdesigncompany (thank you Rachel + Lauren) to echo the palette of a navy grasscloth wall it’ll eventually hang on. 2) I partnered up with @redbankframeworks to make the custom-sized frame components. 3) I then carefully hand-wrapped the 3-foot frame and mat with the textile. 4) I passed it back to Steve + team, the experts at @redbankframeworks , to preserve and mount the scarf behind museum-grade, no-glare glass.

now a scarf from a family trip to Italy is a conversation-starter, and the frame itself is part of the art. 🇮🇹

A commission for a seven year old who likes pink and teddy bears. It took me a while to get going as it wasn’t my usual genre. But once I got started I just kept filling it up with pockets and windows and pretty pink paper. So full in fact that I needed help with a solution to hold it together. Enter Steve at @redbankframeworks who solved my problem.
So now it’s ready to be delivered to Mom - not sure when this will be gifted but I hope she likes it 💕💕💕. #junkjournal #treasurejournal #mixedmedia

One year ago today, I delivered one of my favorite artistic achievements to its rightful owners. A recreation of the album “fragile” by yes, complete with LED lights and elevated laser cut pieces, framed by the geniuses at @redbankframeworks 💚 thank you again to Martin & Linda. I hope you enjoy it for decades to come.
