The Breitling Aerospace debuted in 1985 within the Navitimer range, a multifunction quartz pilot's watch with a light titanium case. Its single crown controlled a chronograph, alarm, countdown, second time zone and calendar, shown across analogue hands and LCD screens. This is a Swiss watch brand we definitely need to spend more time with ...Arsene Lippens. The model, the Artigiano. They collaborated with Italian textile artisans from Lake Como, renowned for their fabric traditions, to debut these lovely woven textile dials. The cases are a compact 37.5mm stainless steel with a thickness of only 9.9mm and a lug-to-lug of 45.5mm, so they lay beautifully on the wrist. After yesterday’s superb Manchester RedBar event, there was only one way to start the week… 🩵 I mean, have you ever seen a dial quite like this? The beautiful @arsenelippens Artigiano Portofino. It was fantastic to have the brand at the event yesterday, an amazing brand with top guys behind it. The real standout has to be that incredible woven dial, crafted from bamboo and cotton. The texture is absolutely mesmerising in person. 🤌 Then there’s the logo, laser printed on the inside of the sapphire crystal, creating a brilliant floating effect above the hands and giving the dial a really modern, three-dimensional feel. At 37.5mm and under 10mm thick, it wears beautifully on the wrist, while inside is a manual-wind Sellita movement. A seriously unique piece from an equally brilliant microbrand.
