Some of my favorite photographs happen in the quiet moments.
Not the action. Not the movement.
Just the stillness, the emotion, and the story held in a single pose.
There's something about black and white that strips away the distractions and leaves only the feeling.
Captured at Redeeming Dance Studio. 🤍

Got to roll some tape on my teacher as she rehearsed for our Spring Performance 🩰 This is a still from while she was turning at about 1.21 gigawatts per hour (is that not the metric they use in South Africa…?).

So grateful I get to work with such a legend, and that you can come see her, too — at LifeAustin Mueller on June 13th!

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes glimpse from rehearsals for Faith, Hope & Love, our summer performance.

We wanted to share not only the polished moments, but also the challenges, bloopers, rebuilding moments, and small triumphs that make the beauty possible.

Because at Redeeming Dance, we believe in pursuing excellence, not perfection.

Because growth takes courage. Art takes discipline. And sometimes the most meaningful progress happens in the moments that don’t look perfect yet.

Stay tuned for more rehearsal moments, updates, and surprises along the way 🤍

We can’t wait to share this one-of-a-kind performance with you all.

Something has been building for a while now.

I haven’t said much about it publicly, because I wanted to be sure.

But it’s real. It’s happening.

And it’s the most meaningful thing I’ve done with dance in a very long time.

More soon. 💛

What a blast! Recap of our most recent Paint and Praise @aesthetic_atx @austinstudiotour ♥️

Our most recent theme was “Permission” and guests reflected on what does it look or feel like to move with permission on the dreams and calling God has placed in you?

Thank you @almostrealthings and everyone who joined! What a joy to share this experience at @austinstudiotour

There will be no Paint and Praise for the month of December, but we do have something really exciting to share and you’re invited, so be on the lookout! 😉

Untethered: A Free Virtual Worldwide Event for Dancers ✨ SIGN UP TODAY - SPACES LIMITED ✨

Join Umbrella Project’s Rachelle Davis and Adrian Bennett for Untethered, a heartfelt and honest conversation about the mental health struggles dancers face. Both hailing from dance studios in South Africa, Rachelle and Adrian bring 16 years of experience as professional dancers, choreographers, and teachers across South Africa, Dubai, Australia, and the US.

This free online event is our way of giving back to the dance community—a safe, “untethered” space for dancers to connect, listen, and feel seen. Through shared stories, we’ll dive into the challenges of comparison, body image, insecurity, and self-doubt, while reminding every dancer: You are not alone in this journey.

Together, we’ll start conversations that bring awareness to mental health, the first step toward healing and growth. Dancers from South Africa, Dubai, Canada, the US, and hopefully Mexico will join us for this powerful global connection.

When: February 16th 2025
10am US & Canada Central Time 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
10am Monterrey Mexico 🇲🇽
6pm South Africa 🇿🇦
7pm Dubai 🇦🇪
Where: Online Zoom - Visit www.umbrellaproject.punchpass.com and find the event on our schedule (Untethered virtual event). A customer login may be required.
Find the direct link in Bio to the event as well.

Let’s come together as a global dance community to share, support, and heal. We can’t wait to connect with you.
Keep an eye out for more info on Hosts Rachelle Davis & Adrian Bennett.
