Today I finally got started on the first few little things on the new ’97 Volvo V70 T5 in Dark Grey Pearl Metallic. 🔧🖤

First up were the locks. I replaced the locks on the tailgate, driver’s door and ignition. The tailgate lock wasn’t working at all and was even disconnected from the lock mechanism. Now everything is working properly again. 👍

I also swapped over the matching control units, including the immobilizer and engine control unit. That means I can now continue using the old key from my silver Volvo. 🔑

After that, I removed the half-leather seats so I can properly clean the carpet and the rest of the interior.

Nothing too crazy yet, just a few small steps — but slowly the V70 is getting better. 😊

I’ll keep you updated on the new one. There’s still plenty more to come! 👀
