Happy world book day! To my absolute delight, this beauty dropped in my door this morning 😍

Laura-Louise @redheadpinupreader had a competition up a few days ago to win a copy of her YA book Princess Pineberry And The Sky Paladins Of Ram. I was shocked when I received a dm telling me I'd won. I honestly wouldn't win an argument 🤣

I'm delighted! Laura-Louise has self-published this book, and if you follow her or read her newsletter (I recommend you do),then you'll know how much work went into it. Well, that work has clearly paid off. The book looks stunning! I entered the competition with plans to gift it to my eldest if I won. I'll still do that, but I might have to read it myself first 😆

Thank you so much, Laura-Louise 🫶

Title: Best Offer Wins
Author: Marisa Kashino

Star: ⭐⭐⭐️

That you @elaineandthebooks for the recommendation. Margo is looking for a house and Ginny, her realtor, has just found the perfect house that hasn’t come on the market yet.

When she finds the dream home that isn’t on the market yet, she sneaks into the house to accidentally meet them and learn more about their lives, in a bid to try to get them to sell their house to herself and her husband Ian.

She starts taking things a bit far; following Curt and Jack to hot yoga, becoming friends with them and one night when they’re all together, Ian spills the beans and all chaos is let loose. Margo starts acting erratically at work, digging into Curt’s background which brings her down the rabbit hole and into the fire.

It is a great page turner but Margo is a deeply unlikable character, yet her steadily unhinged behavior was oddly compelling—I couldn’t stop reading. I didn’t really warm to any of the characters at all, with the sole exception of Fritter the dog, who was so adorable.

Title: A Pack For Autumn
Author: Emilia Emerson
————————————
Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
————————————
In Starlight Grove, we meet Easton who’s pining after Olive; he’s an alpha and she’s on Omega. She’s the new lighthouse keeper and his pack/team have won the restoration grant to restore the lighthouse to its former glory.

This small town has the bookshop owner, people on the welcoming committee/omega girlie group who Olive runs into while she’s in town. She’s obsessed with pumpkin spiced lattes but likes being alone. Following her parents death, she moves to this small town to start a new life.

We also meet Finn and Lars; Easton’s pack members and restoration crew and something I didn’t know before reading this book; the pack shares an Omega! So following on from this, the three Alphas each share their bed with Olive and they will do anything for her especially when she’s going through heat.

I love the friendships she’s grown with Lucy, Ivy and Summer. She goes from being shy and quiet to fun and adventurous. Olive really comes into her own as a person and her pack helps massively with that. Even her friendship with Stanley, the cranky bookshop owner, comes on leaps and bounds over time.

I love the small town setting and that Lars became as obsessed with pumpkin spiced lattes as Olive! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a pack romance or a book with small town charm.

🔎Cluedo Challenge🔎

For those who regularly tag me into their challenges know, I'm notoriously rubbish at trying to find books to take part in them! So I get very excited when there's one I see and think yes and thanks to @fictional_escapades 🥰challenge, I've been tagged into one I can do, yay!

So here's my whodunnit:

It was Rebecca in the Library with the Dagger.

Cluedo is one of my all-time favourite board games and probably is the reason I became a fan of Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers books and later thriller and crime genre in general.

I'm tagging a few in but as usual no pressure and even if you're not tagged, have a go yourself. This was a really fun challenge to do.

Books featured:

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier

The Library by Bella Osborne

Diamonds and Daggers by Nancy Warren

📖 Series in progress 📖

When I was tagged in this challenge I thought I'd only have one book to share. Turns out I'm stuck in way more than I expected!

📚 Series Name:

- The Witcher
- The Inheritance Cycle (on the last one but don't own it yet!)
- The Book of Dust
- Mistborn (currently reading!)
- Peter Rabbit
- Detective Kindaichi Mysteries
- Earthsea (Book 2 on tbr)
- Poirot
- Six Tudor Queens
- A Series of Unfortunate Events (not pictured because I forgot until just now)

Looks like most of these are fantasy which sounds about right... 💙💚

Thank you to @nukku.maija for tagging me in this challenge! (And for making me realise I should probably avoid starting a new series for a while...) I've tagged some accounts who might also be interested in doing this for themselves.

Are you reading any series at the moment?

Tell me you’re a bookstagrammer without using words. I have seen this going around and wanted to do my own. And as I have way to many editions of Fourth Wing (I know it’s kinda insane how that just happened, and I still have another two editions on the way 🙈) O figured they would be perfect for a little reel.

So welcome to my little corner of crazy and please do play along. I’ve tagged a few to challenge, show us you’re a bookstagrammer without telling us with words 🤭
