This was a super cool event. Got Chuck D to sign my @obeygiant Prophets of Rage shirt, and was in the same room with many artists/dj's/photographer's whose work I respect and love... @bates_stl , @lyfestile7 , @the_letter_d_since1975 , @idunnomarty (his pictures will be better than mine), and @eyez. Got to meet @redlioncustoms too, and hear Chuck shout out @ladyjock73 's dad Dr. Jockenstein and @theoriginalgwiz (whose shirt I wore today.)

Chuck D said something that really hit me today, in talking about how human art will never be replaced by AI... He said...
"You can strive for perfection, but your signature is your mistakes."
Now -that- is something to chew on. And he talked about the transition of art after the proliferation of photography and Picasso's rebellion of it... I saw this up close years ago at the National Gallery of Art. It was an exhibit that showed Picssso's art in chronological order... Picasso could paint anything as well as Rembrandt by the time he was 21. But with photography, who needs a painter.... And so... Picasso and the Cubists rebelled... Picasso would do the same exact stuff... only the entire baby would be green, until finally he became the "Picasso" we all think of now.

There is power in raw and unfiltered art. There is power in small rooms and art that reaches individuals. There is power in the imperfection of immediacy and the moment.

I want all the artists whose work I love... to have the biggest stages in the world, ... but man, that connection to those artists in my community... that's huge... Chuck D talked about that... and in the realm of politics too... You may have the biggest take on the President... but do you know who your County reps are? And what they stand for?

Amazing and generous guy in person. What an honor and blessing to hear him talk and to shake his hand and selfishly get his signature.

(Backing track is Lyfestile's verse on Santone's "Everything ain't what it seems".)
