Welcome Britney to the Riot! ✨📚

Our featured Bookstagrammer this week is Britney, known on Instagram as @thee.spicy.pisces ! 💕🌶️📖

When asked to share her favorite read, Britney picked Born Winner by Miss Desire! @miss_desire215 ❤️‍🔥

When we asked why this book earned a spot among her favorites, she shared:

“I chose this book because most romance books I read are about the couple leading up to the marriage. But this book takes place after their marriage and the honeymoon phase is over. You see a couple going through real issues and fighting to keep their connection and love for one another!” ❤️📚

Because sometimes the real love story begins after the wedding, when the couple has to fight for their connection and choose each other through the hard stuff. 🥹❤️‍🔥

💬 RIOT QUESTION: Do you prefer romance stories that end with the happily-ever-after, or ones that show what happens after the wedding? Tell us your pick below! 👇📚✨

🚨THIS WEEK WE ARE BRINGING ALL THE HEAT! 🔥📚

Red flags? Green lights? Absolutely unhinged anti-heroes? We’re going DARK, and we’re not apologizing for it. 😈

This week on the Rebel Reads Podcast, we’re joined by dark romance author Samantha Barrett @author.samantha.barrett, the queen of out-of-the-box stories, deliciously twisted minds, and novels that keep readers reeling long after the final page. Samantha embraces everything dirty, dark, and delicious, with a side of twisted mind f**k.
But this conversation goes deeper than dark romance and fictional red flags.

Samantha gets REAL about her author journey, what it means to have her books legitimately banned, and the comments and criticism that come with writing stories that push boundaries. We talk about rising above the noise, refusing to let other people’s opinions silence your creativity, and continuing to write the stories YOU want to tell, and readers are hungry to devour.

We also dive into the incredible, supportive experience with the Wild & Windy Girls @wildandwindybookevent, the importance of finding your people in the book community, and how dark romance has given Samantha something bigger than a genre. It’s given her a place in the world.

Because here’s the thing, Rebels: not every story is for everyone. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist.

At Rebel Reads, we’re here to challenge censorship, celebrate the freedom to read, and give authors a platform to share their voices, especially when those voices make people uncomfortable.

So grab your favorite morally gray man, embrace those red flags, and get ready for a conversation that’s unapologetically dark, honest, and deliciously rebellious. 🔥

The books may be banned. The voices won’t be silenced.

🎧 Tune in, turn it up, and join the rebellion. #podcast #darkromancebooks #darkromancereads #booklover #author

📚⚔️ BANNED BOOKS WEEK | STORIES SHOULDN’T BE SILENCED

At Iron Triangle Press, we believe stories are meant to be told.

The messy ones.
The uncomfortable ones.
The ones that challenge you.
The ones that make you question what you thought you knew.

And most importantly, the ones that give people a voice.

📖 A book doesn’t have to be for everyone to deserve a place on the shelf.

Banned and challenged books represent countless authors, characters, communities, and perspectives that someone, somewhere, decided shouldn’t be heard.

We disagree.

Because publishing isn’t about making every story comfortable.

It’s about making room for more stories.

This Banned Books Week, Iron Triangle Press is standing alongside authors, readers, booksellers, librarians, and rebels who believe in the freedom to read and the freedom to create.

🔥 Read the story.
🔥 Ask the questions.
🔥 Have the conversation.
🔥 Decide for yourself.

And if a story makes you uncomfortable?

Maybe that’s exactly why it deserves to be heard.

Stories have power.
Readers have power.
And we’re not here to stay quiet.

WE ARE THE REBELLION.

📚🔥 BANNED BOOKS WEEK IS HERE.

And you already know the Rebel Reads crew has something to say about it. 😈

Books are meant to make us think. Question. Feel. Challenge. Explore. They give voices to stories that deserve to be heard and create space for perspectives that might otherwise be silenced.

So when someone says, “You shouldn’t read that…”

👀 We’re probably adding it to the TBR.

This week, we’re celebrating the books that have been challenged, censored, questioned, and targeted simply because they dared to tell a story someone didn’t want told.

🔥 Read boldly.
🔥 Read outside your comfort zone.
🔥 Read the stories that make you uncomfortable.
🔥 Read the books they tried to silence.

Because censorship doesn’t get the final word.

The readers do. 📖✊

Stay tuned as Rebel Reads kicks off Banned Books Week with special episodes, author conversations, bookish chaos, and plenty of reasons to JOIN THE REBELLION. 🖤 #bannedbooksweek #keepreading #keepsupporting #booklover #readersofinstagram

🎙️ NEXT UP IN THE REBEL READS ARCHIVES… 👀📚

A little throwback to our conversation with KL Speer and her beautiful take on what it means for readers to feel seen through a story.

We talked about the impact a novel can have when someone recognizes themselves, their experiences, or a piece of their own story within its pages. 🖤📖

Because sometimes a book is more than just a book. Sometimes it reminds someone that they’re not alone, their story matters, and they are seen.

Here’s a little sneak peek into that conversation. 🎧✨

✨ Author Pick Of The Week! Welcome Jayne to the Riot! ✨📚

Our featured Author and Bookstagrammer this week is Jayne, known on Instagram as @janyretromp ! 💕📖

This week, I wanted to mix things up and highlight Jayne’s own novel, Burning the Raven Tree! ❤️📚

A gothic historical suspense, Burning the Raven Tree centers around a sentient ancient oak that is the keeper of memory — including what happened a decade earlier when a fire killed Colwyn Cueny’s brother-in-law and nephews.

If only the tree could talk to humans.

Instead, the town fills the silence with its own story: that Colwyn is a murderer and the forest witch. 🌲🔥

But when disgraced Chicago attorney Marcus Lenarsic arrives in town, he begins pulling at the threads of the old tragedy and discovers just how dangerous it can be to challenge the story everyone has chosen to believe. 👀

Gothic atmosphere. Secrets. A mysterious forest. An ancient tree holding memories. And a decades-old tragedy that may not be what everyone thinks. 🖤🌲📚

💬 RIOT QUESTION: Would you pick up a book about an ancient tree that holds the secrets of an entire town? 🌲👀 Tell us in the comments!

🕊️ 25 years later, we remember.

Today, Iron Triangle Press pauses to honor and remember every life lost on September 11, 2001, and every family, friend, first responder, and community forever changed by that day.

For so many, the memories remain incredibly vivid. We remember where we were, who we were with, the phone calls, the uncertainty, and the moment our world changed forever.

Twenty-five years have passed, but the impact has never disappeared.

Today, we honor the lives that were taken, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families who continue to carry their loss, and the countless people whose lives were forever shaped by the events of that day.

Take a moment today to hold your loved ones a little closer. Tell someone you love them. Check in on a friend.

Because life can change in a single moment.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🕊️🇺🇸

✨ Welcome Jordan to the Riot! ✨📚

Our featured Bookstagrammer this week is Jordan, known on Instagram as @julietfoxreads ! 💕📖

When asked to share her favorite read, Jordan picked MateHub: Legend by Marie Reynard!

When we asked Jordan why this book was her favorite, she shared:

“One of my favorite books ever, and my go-to comfort read, is MateHub: Legend by Marie Reynard @marie__reynard . It’s SO MUCH fun! An excellent porn star romance between a wolf shifter and a human, with humor and heart that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

I’m a HUGE sucker for idiots-to-lovers and reluctant fated mates, and MateHub: Legend is the perfect example of both. What’s so fun about this book is absolutely the tongue-in-cheek humor. A shifter romance about porn stars in a temporary bond for knotting purposes could be pretty wild, and it is, but Marie Reynard’s writing keeps things a little lighter.

Even if you aren’t all that into shifter romance, I can almost guarantee you will like this book.” ❤️‍🔥📚

A wolf shifter, a human, fated mates, idiots-to-lovers, and plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor?! 👀🔥 This sounds like the perfect comfort read for anyone looking for a romance that brings the heat while keeping things fun!

Now we want to hear from YOU! Have you read MateHub: Legend? What’s your favorite comfort read? Drop it in the comments! 👇📚✨
