Rites of Spring played like 19 shows and broke up and changed the face of music forever.

We’ve played like 5 and probably at least mildly impressed between 20-30 people which honestly is basically the goal post I set for any musical output I do.

Originally I had this date booked for my other band but that entire lineup fell through because God was smiting me for thinking something might go as planned for once-

And so began that scramble to fill this hole in my diary with something that could placate the burning whip of a band booker trying to book shows in local venues now competing with international acts such as My Chem, Taylor Swift and Blink 182 for the first time since 2019

@gilcerrone and @dream_inertia have stepped in to create a very special event within the Skramz scene here in Naarm at @thelastchancerockandrollbar

Would I compare the renaissance of Skramz happening Aus right now to the 85 Revolution Summer that changed music forever leading to eventual sold out tour of My Chemical Romance 40 years later???
I mean who would start a post comparing their band to Rites of Spring???

Anyway if you don’t come the band booker at Last Chance will personally take me out back and murder me (and not in the fun quick painless way, trust me)

One of my students didn’t show up for their music lesson so I’m taking this rare break in my day to tell you that this handsome band @lua.melb is playing at @underthealmonds on Saturday. Issa pool party come splash about with us or whatever 💦
