my first season with an independent group ! holy crap I can't even count how many times I was scared shitless throughout the season but I learned so much. I also can't count how many times I laughed so hard I was on the verge of tears. I've never marched with such a special group of people.

Thank you Red Wave for taking me in and making me feel like I belonged ❤️

Thank you to the basses for challenging and uplifting me when I needed it most. yall are my second family and I miss you guys every day.

10 years in the making. What a journey it’s been, and I’m finally aged out.

I don’t know what else to say besides, thank you. If you asked me 10 years ago if I ever saw myself going to Indy for DCI finals, or to Dayton for WGI finals, I would’ve told you you’re crazy, and you’re an idiot, how could I ever even fathom making it that far.

Who would’ve thought. I’m beyond grateful for everyone I’ve met on this journey. I’m grateful for everyone that’s helped me, for everyone that’s pushed me farther than I ever thought possible. It’s been such a blessing getting to be a part of this activity.

To my friends and family: Thank you for supporting me along the way, for always encouraging me, and for making me dig deep down to find motivation when I didn’t have it in me.

To the staff members I’ve been taught by over the years: Thank you for guiding me down this path, and for shaping me into the person I am today. I’ve learned so much and have been blessed to pass that knowledge down to my students.

To my students that I work with at Sanger: Thank you for always inspiring me to be better, and for reminding me why I love doing this activity so, so much. I hope I’ve inspired you to work hard and to push yourself to do the next big thing in life.

And to Lupe, my other half: Thank you for always being my rock, my sense of reasoning, my biggest motivator, and my #1 supporter. I couldn’t have done this without you by my side, you’ve always kept me level-headed, and have always been there for me through all of this, even when I had second thoughts, or thought about backing out and quitting. You’ve pushed me relentlessly, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Thank you, to everyone that made this possible. I can’t believe it’s been a decade since I decided to pick up sticks for the first time, but I’m so happy for everything that has happened since.

Thank you 🤍
