Within 24 hours-Word travels fast when someone this important moves into town. They came to “see the puppy.” They stayed to be personally selected by me, held against their will, and emotionally rearranged. I made my rounds. I sat in every lap. I collected kisses like taxes. Not one person left the same as they arrived. 🎀

Not everyone made it into the photo evidence. Just know that if you were here, you were counted.

One admirer appeared to me inside a small glowing rectangle. A voice, a face, no person attached to either. I tilted my head so far I nearly filed a formal complaint. Nobody warned me adoration could arrive remotely. Who knew that was a thing.

I heard Mom tell someone she’s never seen a house fill up so fast. That’s what happens when the baby arrives, everyone suddenly remembers where you live.

Membership in the fan club is now open, but the founding-member positions have unfortunately been filled. My Virginia brother is still holding an unclaimed seat and the reunion tour clock is ticking. ⏰

So much love in this house. Most of it aimed directly at me, as it should be.
