Not the end to 25/26 we wanted, however, a huge thanks to everyone involved with Union Canal this season. It’s been a year marked by big changes to the squad, both with incomings, outgoings, injuries, and even a baby to boot! Another second place finish (again ole ole) but we look forward to a strong campaign next season and hopefully bring some silverware back to the club. Enjoy your summers, we’ll be back. Union Canal forever💚🖤

CPR 1’s Vs Woking

The lads were back in action this week after a huge cup final win last week, and it was a double header v Woking.

The game started with chances from Woking, the wind and poor surface provided an abundance of chances for the opposition. The CPR lads had some chances themselves but ultimately no success for either attack.

HT 0-0

The second half was a lot more entertaining, ASQUITH hit the double to put the boys 2-0 up, a free midfielder from Woking was able slot home from outside the box, 2-1.

An AG header from a Brad free kick took us to 3-1 and finished with a 4 point double header Saturday 2-0, 1-1.

Match Report
CPR 1’s v Fulham Compton Old Boys

WARNING : THIS WAS A DOUBLE HEADER IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS WE WILL NOT BE EXPLAINING IT BECAUSE THE ADMIN CANT BE BOTHERED.

CPR returned to league action against the Fulham 2’s after handing their 1’s an early cup loss at the start of the season, confidence was high for this one.

The game started well with chances galore for CPR but an early goal against the run of play pushed back an eager CPR.

This didn’t stop the boys however as captain Joe Heatley headed home from the back stick directly from a corner.

Defenders scoring didn’t stop there as right back binters slotted home clinically on rebound after a Birchmore free kick.

After this the floodgates opened and the next 60 minutes were an absolute seeing to.

Asquith and Minty both secured braces respectfully, Birchmore fired home a beautiful free kick, as well as 5 assists, and Joe Heatley completed his own brace from CB.

8-1 agg double header 6 points Saturday.
