A little appreciation post for our amazing Newport Surf Camp family.
To every family who spent part of their summer with us—THANK YOU. Truly. You’re the reason we get to keep doing what we love: getting kids off their screens, into the ocean, connected to nature, and having the kind of fun that leaves them exhausted, sandy, salty, and very likely asking, “Can we come back tomorrow?”
Every summer is a little chaotic, a lot of fun, and filled with those tiny moments that turn into core memories—the first wave, the epic wipeout, the new friendship, the high five, the “I DID IT!” moment.
And to our incredible staff: THANK YOU. You pour so much energy, patience, encouragement, and heart into these kids every single day. You are a huge part of what makes this place so special. ❤️
We’re incredibly grateful for every family, every surfer, every staff member, and every salty little memory made this summer.
Thank you for letting us be a small part of your summer. We’ll see you in the water!

Surf lessons have some splash landings — and honestly, that’s where the learning happens. You figure out timing, balance, and how to laugh when the ocean humbles you.
Falling means you’re trying. Trying is how you succeed.
Teaching people to surf isn’t about perfection. It’s about the process — the wipeouts, the progress, and the big smiles when it finally clicks.
