Sound and Vision Team —

Reed Nisson — Reed (cinematographer) is the man behind the camera. Unfortunately for him, he gets stuck with me on long car rides. Here we are in the desert somewhere between shoots. My favorite thing about Reed is how much he cares about anyone on the crew. Not photographed here: Wyatt Maker, Harrison Rusk

Vasilios Sfinarolakis — Vas shot almost all of the verite of the team during the 24/25 season. My favorite moment that he shot was Geno talking to the team after they beat SC in the regular season.

Daniel Carter — Daniel’s shot parts of every doc I’ve directed and many of the others I worked on before directing. His repeated requests to Geno to “put me in coach!” were ignored.

Ben Nimkin — Almost every recorded bit of sound was recorded by Ben, but how can you not acknowledge him capturing “I love you, I hate you, I love you.” Also he may have been the reason I got yelled at for the squeaky shoes!

Scott Salinas — The Music Man. Anyone who watches this show knows how much I love Scott’s music. It’s as important to me as the content we capture in the field and nobody does it better.

Seth Ricart and RCO — A brilliant colorist, human, and founding member of the middle aged cycling group, The Bike Tysons.

Tristan Baylin and Gigantic Studios — The reason you feel like you’re inside the arena at every moment is because of Tristan’s brilliant sound design and mixing. The second MAMIL in the Bike Tysons.

Autumn Nakamura, Daron Nealis and HSC.TV — Don’t let the photo fool you, as anyone in Denison Cinema (where we met) will tell you, they’re “quite professional.” Their incredible team at HSC.TV helped do all of the graphics for this show.

Justin Feldman and Hit The Ground Running — I love working with Justin because he gets every major artist to agree to a fee we can actually afford. And the ones who don’t? He finds an alternative song that’s even better.

We had a great time interviewing @hasanminhaj for a new documentary that the amazing Lena Khan and I are co-directing. Hasan is a genius, insightful and hilarious man. And thank you to our all-star crew.

And yes, that is Shaquille O’Neal’s sneaker.

Excited to share more soon!

Here’s the trailer for THE DYNASTY: UCONN HUSKIES, which I directed and executive produced (with Erica Sashin). This is the most dominant team in college basketball history, and getting to document their 40-year dynasty while simultaneously being embedded with the team as they won their 12th championship with @paigebueckers was an incredible experience. It premieres on Apple TV on August 21.

In celebration of the great PBS disability-rights doc @therideaheadfilm winning an Emmy last night (!!!) we thought we'd share a video we previously made with one of its remarkable subjects @maysoonzayid back in the day for Oprah Magazine, @talbotsofficial and @dressforsuccess. Congrats to Samuel @samuelhabibfilms and the whole THE RIDE AHEAD team.

It's premiere month! I'm beyond excited to finally share the two projects I've spent the better part of the last two years working on for @appletv as Showrunner/Executive Producer (both which just so happen to be launching one week apart!) First up on Feb 16 -- "The Dynasty."

When Director @hamachek and I first started talking about how we were going to tackle this 10-episode series about the most dominant and divisive team in NFL history, we wanted to take a page from the #TedLasso playbook by doing our best to foster a culture of collaboration and kindness, where creativity would thrive… I simply could not be prouder of what we and this amazing team of producers, editors, and tireless creatives were able to accomplish together.
Thank you @imaginedocs @appletv
