Candid snap from this week's session on the finishing up of the feature film "Dirty Rhetoric". I've been in the mix of this film for a couple of years now. Director James Evans was in my studio to read the part of Ivy Mike, the radio announcer. Dirty Rhetoric is coming soon - I'll keep you posted. GREAT music by @gautierabadie!! Thanks for bringing this project my way Gautier!

Killer concert at Joe’s Pub tonight! The Mingus big band, complete with students that had earned a spot to sit in. Eric Mingus, Mingus’ son sang “Oh Lord Don't Let Them Drop That Atomic Bomb On Me”. And KILLED!! Great fun. Thanks for thinking of me @gvgooding

New York City tonight: The inimitable Ladysmith Black Mambazo at City Winery's new space on a Wednesday night. Sold out. You may remember this group of South African singers from Paul Simon's 1986 album Graceland. It's impossible to understate the power of this amazing music! Thanks to Rick Baitz for the generous gift of these tickets which he unfortunately could not use. Rick has deep roots in South Africa and especially Durban, and we know what the promise of this evening was for him, so it's an honor to be given this opportunity to se them. We had a magnificent time. Thanks Rick! What an amazing city New York is!
