POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Image via @flyers_for_falastin & @reem.alsayed95 ❤️✊🏻🇵🇸 I’ve lost count of how many stories out of Palestine have broken my heart this week. From uprooted olive trees to abuse of prisoners to murdered children. Just because it is not in the headlines as often doesn’t mean it is getting any better. If it’s been a while since you’ve taken action for Palestine - whether that’s a donation, a call to your elected rep or just a social media post - take a moment this weekend to do SOMETHING and remind Palestinians they are not alone.

The brutal slaughter, torture and oppression of the innocent people of Palestine continues at the hands of Israel and the US enabled by the shameful complicity and silence of the EU and our own government. As Gaza and the West Bank has almost disappearrd from Western headlines, we refuse to let these atrocities fade from public consciousness. Join us on Wednesday night at 7pm for our solidarity gathering in Dundalk town square. Let us show the people of Palestine that we will not look away, we will not be silent, and we will continue to demand accountability and justice.

Bring your flags and signs 🇵🇸

Children playing should never become a military target - let them play. KITES NOT BOMBS!

Quiet solidarity vigil, all welcome. We will be raising money - donation buckets and QR codes will be available at the event. Bring your flags, keffiyehs, and most importantly your KITES! Kite-shaped/kite-themed signs are encouraged (as are long poles!) as we are unable to fly kites high due to restrictions and power lines at this location.

We meet on Kaurna land. This is a quiet event with no speeches or drums. All are welcome, including those with disability and sensory concerns. Women in Black is a women-led organization with feminist values; sexism, misogyny, racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, or any otherwise hateful or violent material or rhetoric is not tolerated at our events.

Visit @kites4palestine to find out more about getting involved in the global weekend of action.

New tattoo (yes, another one 🤣)

Thank you so much to @trina_tattoos for doing this for me 🤩 but the biggest of all thanks to @reem.alsayed95 who is a talented artist in Gaza, where she is surviving with her husband Omar and beautiful daughter Luna (who is also a talented artist @luna.o.hamdan 🥰)

Reem kindly granted me the honour of using her design for my tattoo and for that I am eternally grateful. I am proud to wear the colours of Palestine on my arm 🇵🇸❤️💚🖤🤍 and will continue to stand up for those around the world who are being persecuted 💔
