The real trooper is my hair ribbon that lasted all 8 seasons of high school running

Grateful for a final track season! (actually running edition 🤭) So lucky to be surrounded by the best teammates & coaches for the past 4 years

Guess who ran a whopping number of one race this season!!

On a more serious note, I am heartbroken I wasn’t able to run my senior year of cross country. There was nothing I wanted to do more than put on spikes and race with the girls for my final season of hs cross. My aspirations for xc szn were immediately whisked down the drain at the doctors office on September 15th when my doctor said I needed a boot for 6 weeks. I walked out of the doctors office with puffy eyes and a BAB (big a$$ boot) 😅 I can confirm cross country is definitely more fun when your running at meets. Watching everyone race from the sidelines was devastating, especially at regionals and states but im so happy that the girls qualified.

Despite having a boot for 6 weeks, it was fun to be an honorary coach and be the teams biggest cheerleader! I think my biggest accomplishment is the girls saying they heard me cheering at states. I am so proud of what the whole team has achieved this season. All of them have grown so much and watching them progress has been so special. Their support has been endless and I am so grateful for all of them.

This season was really hard mentally and physically. Even if I was unable to fully race, I am very thankful to have been able to jog a mile of our last two races after I was cleared to run a mile. Easily one of my favorite memories.

Thank you PCXC for the best 7 years of cross country. Its impossible to put into words how much these past years have meant to me. It feels like just yesterday we were running at West every race for covid guidelines freshman year. I have created bonds that will never be broken and memories I will forever cherish.

Excited to slowly get back up to speed with training to focus on having a healthy comeback for track!
