My third (and final) summer at WHYY’s summer internship… but make it SNL intro style! Together with @_nia.hammond_, with a grant from the William Penn Foundation, we made a series of explainer videos for social media about what various state and local elected officials do as a way to inform other young Pennsylvanians about the power their vote has over their lives, while our other partner, Nate Kuhn, made his own longer video about civic engagement. But beyond that, I was lucky enough to work with one of the greatest groups this side of the Mississippi. From daily walks to Wawa for lunch, discussing all sorts of goofy things (with a healthy dose of inside jokes too), to weekly after-work movie nights to exchanging tips on editing in Premiere/Final Cut/DaVinci, our little community really bonded over the summer. Thanks to everyone who made this summer happen and so special!
