I’m always grateful for the opportunity to head back to Africa to speak, create, connect, and continue building.  I am planning a mixer at my studio while I’m there! 🥂🎥 More details coming soon. 🎬🐧 FAME Shorts Film Festival 2026 is coming to Cape Town! From Sundance, Tribeca and Rotterdam to Cape Town, this year’s festival brings 36 short films from Africa and around the world, including World, African, South African and Cape Town Premieres. Join us at The Rockefeller Hotel from 30 October – 1 November 2026 for three days of bold, unexpected and wonderfully diverse short-form cinema. Tickets start at just R75, with an All-Block Pass available for R275. And who better to lead the way than our favourite Cape penguin? 🐧 We’re also happy to share our FAME Shorts Film Festival promo video, created by the Digicine team — a playful story following a Cape penguin as he travels through Cape Town, discovering the city, its people and, of course, the magic of film along the way. As Martin Hiller says: “Come and see the film you know, but also take a chance on something you don’t.” Alderman JP Smith says FAME Shorts gives Cape Town filmmakers “a platform to have their work seen, celebrated and positioned as part of a much bigger international film conversation.” And Dr Ashley Naidoo says: “We are delighted to support FAME Shorts Film Festival and to see storytelling, creativity and conservation coming together in such an engaging way.” Read more below and buy your tickets now via our Linktree! 🎟️ 📅 30 October – 1 November 2026 📍 The Rockefeller Hotel, Cape Town 🎟️ Tickets available via the link in our Linktree Follow the penguins. Find your next favourite film. 🐧🎥 #FAMEShorts #FAMEWeekAfrica #CapeTown #ShortFilm #FilmFestival AfricanCinema Digicine CapePenguin CapeTownFilm

There are stories that stay with you long after the camera stops rolling. @rassilasmotse_studios Ras Silas lost both of his parents to HIV/AIDS at a young age. Forced to grow up too soon, he turned unimaginable loss into something extraordinary. Today, his art is a testament to resilience, healing, and the incredible strength of the human spirit. This short documentary was commissioned by the Edmund Garwe Trust @egarwetrust whose work continues to support orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS. As a filmmaker, I don’t believe stories find me by chance. They remind me that while we cannot always choose what happens to us, we can choose how we respond. We can choose compassion. We can choose resilience. We can choose to heal. I’m honoured to share Ras’ story with you. Watch the full film via the link in my bio. I am honored to be nominated and chosen as a Trailblazer, and the only woman from the United States listed among @fameweekafrica’s Africa’s Leading Women in Entertainment, in celebration of Women’s Month. 🌍✨ This recognition isn’t mine alone it belongs to my incredible team, my partners across Atlanta and Cape Town, and everyone who believed in the vision of building bridges between two continents through the power of storytelling. God has truly been the CEO of this journey, and I am simply grateful to be a vessel for the work He has called me to do. 🙏🏾 I am very excited about what I am creating in Africa from the incredible content and stories we are developing to, most importantly, helping my brothers and sisters on the continent gain access, receive the training, and have the opportunities needed to succeed in the entertainment industry. This journey is about so much more than creating films and television. It is about empowering talent, opening doors, creating pathways, and building bridges that connect our communities through storytelling. I am also grateful for the new lifelong relationships and partnerships being created along the way relationships that will continue to grow and make an impact for years to come. 🌍 To be recognized alongside so many powerhouse women who are redefining and shaping this industry is a true honor. Thank you for the nomination and for this incredible recognition. We are just getting started. Onward and upward. 🌍✨ #autumnbaileyentertainment #autumnbaileyinternational #afrinovaentertainmentgroup #nvfilmstudiosafrica
