🏳️‍🌈Equality Florida St. Pete Gala 2026🏳️‍🌈

🕺🏽🪩 This years theme = Rainbow Disco 🪩🕺🏽

This year the Florida Legislation tried to pass 9 anti-LGBTQ bills that would drastically affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of Floridians.
Thanks to the tireless work of Equality Florida, they were able to successfully block 8 of them from being passed into law!

But there is so much more work to be done because sadly the attacks against the LGBTQ community are coming in as fast as we are fighting them.

In one incredible night we were able to raise $255,000!!!

Thank you to our Mayor Ken Welch for attending and supporting our mission of ensuring that St. Pete stays safe for ALL OF US 💖

The stories that were shared were absolutely heart breaking. There is so much more that needs to be done to help so many.

I’m praying for our community, and I’m praying for state leaders who lead from a place of LOVE rather than HATE 🙏🏽💖🏳️‍🌈

Restaurant Review 🍽️📈

📍Bosphorous - Turkish Cuisine
Downtown St. Pete, FL 🌴

Located on Central Avenue in the Edge District, Bosphorous is a new restaurant concept next to the Moxy Hotel across from Hawkers.

Stepping inside you feel immediately transported to a chick Turkish resort or palace with a jaw dropping stone arched entryway and Turkish chandelier.

From the ornate columns, rich wood tone tables, curved banquette seating and exquisite tile selections, no detail was overlooked in the design of this space.

The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, and let me tell you, they don’t play when it comes to allergies! If you have food allergies, you can rest assured you are well taken care of here! The manager came to our table with laminated charts of all the food ingredients and everything! 🤣
I have never seen that before. Very impressed.

Now let’s talk about what we ordered!

We started with a round of drinks and got the Turkish Coffee Martini, Ottoman 75, and Old Fashion Turk 🍸

Drinks 10/10 ✅

For Appetizers we ordered the Mixed Appetizer plate which included hummus, babaganoush, roasted eggplant, Muhammara, ezme, cacik, haydari, and yaprak dolma. We also got 2 orders of the Lavas hollow bread and oh my goodness was it to die for! So soft and warm. I could live off of it 🤣🍞🫓

Next up was a little mini course before the entrees and this was like a Turkish Calzone. We ordered the Spinach & Feta and it was pretty good.

We shared several entrees so that we could all try a bunch of things. We ordered the Mixed Grill for Two which had several types of lamb and chicken, the Moussaka which is like eggplant lasagna. Wow! The flavors, the spices, the rice! It was all so delicious and we kept using the dips from the appetizer round with everything 🤤😍🍗🥩🍚

Believe it or not but we had room for dessert and we shared the Dark Chocolate Mousse and the Pistachio Gelato 🍫🍦

Overall we had an incredible experience and we cannot wait to go back!

Definitely recommend trying it with a few friends so you can share family style!

** Booty Appreciation Post ** from a silly whim to play after not touching a 🏐 since 2007 to 327 iterations of the team in the last couples years; these gems of humans quickly made any activity the highlight of the week. From free agent teammates to now be lucky to call these angels forever friends. Going out winning the final tournament bracket day was the cherry on top to a fantastic fairytale. (🏳️‍🌈🏐🦄) Moral of the story: go outside your comfort zone; giggle/twirl/high five way too much; build your tribe; tell your teammates they’re pretty princesses and the story will be magical. Thanks for the memories my loves! P.S. sorry about any booty bruises from these ole boney hips 😘🤗

Overall The Burg won🏆 with the dry rubs (keep it clean), Sunset Grille🥈 with a fab blackened garlic, Hawkers🥉 brought the unique spice with added cumin, and La V🏅 has a decadent sweet and spicy chili sauce.
