We had an INCREDIBLE weekend in Rhode Island with Nick & Kaila. The Ceremony was BEAUTIFUL, the cocktail hour was the perfect calm before the storm and the reception was JUMPING! The dance floor was packed the entire night! This one was definitely one for the books! Congratulations Nick & Kaila and thank you for bringing us all the way from New Orleans to Rhode Island so you could get PHUNKY!

“I can turn it down, but I can’t turn it off” - Ronell “Roo” Johnson 1976-2026.

Loved by literally everyone who ever had the fortune to meet him.

At times like this I sometimes wish I was a believer… but even for a heathen like me this was as beautiful a deeply religious homegoing service as one could possibly imagine, thanks to the passionately held beliefs of our beloved brother Mr Ronell Johnson, and his family and friends. Thank you all for allowing me into your sacred space, and thank you to Preservation Hall Jazz Band and all of the amazing musicians who helped to make this a quintessential New Orleans celebration of life.
