I love filming my own little versions of Getaway that nobody asked for haha

This weekend took me all the way up to Victoria’s Mallee for the Patchewollock Music Festival, now in its 12th year!

Three days of live music, good food, market stalls, sheep shearing, country hospitality and, of course, the famous Patchewollock sheep races.

Yep, sheep races!

One of the highlights of the festival is the Patchewollock Gold Cup, where you can buy a sheep through an auction and cheer it on in the big race, with money raised going back into the local community.

The festival itself started with a conversation between a couple of locals at the pub about bringing live entertainment to their little town. Twelve editions later, it’s become something pretty special.

And I have it on good authority that @bradcoxofficial might just be headlining next year. You didn’t hear that from me though..

But beyond the festival, there’s something about exploring this part of Victoria that I absolutely love.

The landscapes, the wide open spaces, the colours and those endless horizons. Anyone who’s ever travelled with me knows I can barely get down the road without stopping to admire something. There’s a calmness out here I can’t quite explain, and I never thought I’d be someone who’d fall so completely in love with the countryside.

And then there’s the people. The kind who make you feel right at home, even when it’s not your hometown. I think that’s my favourite part of all. The people ‘round these parts are always legends.

Nothing relaxes me more than getting out on the road and discovering these little corners of Victoria, and weekends like this remind me exactly why.

Thanks for having us, Patchewollock. What a beautiful little part of the world the Wimmera Mallee is.

A FIRST PLACE WIN FOR MALDON ROSE! 🏆💕🫶✨

We’re so proud to share that Mum has taken out 1st place for Plain Scones in the Professional/Commercial Cooks category at the Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural Show!

It’s such a special feeling to be recognised for something that has been at the heart of Maldon Rose since the very beginning. We’re always so happy to represent our beautiful town of Maldon and share a little piece of what we do with the community.

A huge thank you to the Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural Society for celebrating local talent and keeping these wonderful traditions alive.

And of course, congratulations to Mum. We couldn’t be prouder! 💗

If you’ve enjoyed one of Mum’s scones at Maldon Rose, you know why we love them so much.

Walking beneath the towering Californian Redwoods ✨

Tucked away in the Otway National Park, just a short detour off the Great Ocean Road, this magical forest is home to Californian Redwoods soaring over 60m into the sky.

These giants are still growing and could potentially reach twice their current height over time, putting them among the tallest trees on Earth!

Sunnier days call for the George Bass Coastal Walk. 🚶🏽‍♂️

On this day I took out the OnePro Ultralight Backpack from @pgytech.anz with me. Exactly what I needed for the day.

I also spotted an Echidna for the very first time in my life. 😂 A short but sweet greeting.

Shot on the Sony A7iv using various lenses.
