WM Guiyang 🇨🇳

Cooked, baked, fried. Nevertheless it was a good and hard camp. I am very thankful for the experience and big thanks to our coaches. I am excited for the upcoming and last races of the season and i will be back! #pastapesto

Big step in the right direction 🏃‍♂️

Probably my best triathlon race so far.

Strong swim, first out of the water and a solid T1. Unfortunately, my chain dropped on the first climb and I couldn’t close the gap to the front after that.

Still managed to top it off with my best run performance so far. A huge step forward in all three disciplines despite the mechanical.

Trusting the process @reiner_philipp @personalpeak_com

its hard to explain again and again how plyometrics work and look like, when you see thousands of videos on youtube show it completely wrong. 💩

here is the 3 key phases which makes plyometrics work. you can not do every exercise in a plyometric way. but there are some really good ones which works for Stand Up Paddlers.

1. eccentric Phase (pre-stretch): the muscle-tendon unit actively lengthens under load.

2. amortization phase (transition): the brief isometric phase between eccentric lengthening and concentric shortening. key factor: this transition must be extremely fast (below 200ms) otherwise, stored elastic strain energy dissipates as heat.

3. concentric phase (shortening): the explosive concentric muscle action, utilizing both stored elastic energy and reflex induced motor unit recruitment.

why I use a resistance band at the pull ups in the video?
because I cant do the transition and cencentric phase fast enough without and without maximum speed, plyometrics do not work.

the goal?
recruit more musclefibres and maximize your strength without gaining weight (add muscles).

enjoy your trainings and have fun,
chris 🤙🏻

Halfway through my first altitude camp in Livigno.
Enjoying the views, the training and the temperatures but slowly getting sick of the insane daily amounts of pasta with pesto🫠

First well executed triathlon of the year at the Austrian Sprint Triathlon Champs🇦🇹
Proud to get 3rd in the Junior Ranking 🥉 and 13th overall.

Got off the bike so far ahead even the TV commentators couldn't believe it😉
Now it's time to level up my run once again📈

First international race of the year in Caorle🇮🇹
Made a lot of progress during the winter but kind of struggled to show it. Finished 12th in my Semifinal and 40th/113 overall.
But I'll try again in Poland in two weeks.

Also had a lot of fun with the mixed team relay🤝
