Did you get a new device over the holidays? 📲

You can take these steps to make sure it's cyber-secure and ready for campus life:

→ Back up your old device's data into a secure cloud or drive. Then, wipe your old device through a factory reset before donating, storing, or recycling it

→ Set up your device for use with DUO & perform a security check-up through the app

→ Configure your device with eduroam

→ Create a strong password or passcode. Your sensitive information deserves a stronger passcode than 1234!

Find the configuration links and more device security resources at the link in our story! 🔗

Welcome, Gators! My name is Lorena Bacallao, and I am a rising third-year from Homestead, Florida, studying Advertising with a specialization in Persuasive Messaging and a certificate in Media Sales (@ufjschool). I am a Promise (@ufoas) and Machen Florida Opportunity Scholar (@mfosatuf). Additionally, I work on-campus as a Student Building Manager (@reitzunion) and live on-campus (@ufhousing). If you have any questions about these or other aspects of UF, feel free to reach out!

When I am not studying or working, I enjoy going to the gym, designing, going on “hot girl walks,” taking photos around campus, crafting a Spotify playlist, or visiting local Gainesville businesses. 👀

Some fun facts about me: I graduated from high school a year early, completing only three years. I am left-handed, @theweeknd is my favorite artist, and I am bilingual (Spanish being my first language). 🕺🏻

Within my first year at the University of Florida and to this day, I have learned and grown a lot from my personal experiences. I remember being overwhelmed and thinking to myself, “how will I learn to get around?” Well, lucky for you, I not only know the Reitz Union like the back of my hand, but I and all my fellow Preview Staffers (@newufgators) are all ready to guide you to a successful journey in the Swamp! 💙

Remember, it’s orange before blue, elbows straight, and right over left! Time to chomp and grind, and rock at Preview! 🐊

Read below to hear about one of our member’s experiences on our recent trip to the University of Florida’s Student Union

“I was counting down the days until this trip because I always have appreciated collaborating with other student leaders. With our friends at UF, we got to exchange ideas that will support both of our amazing student unions next semester.” -@anthonyb_9
