Thank you for joining us in the infinite circuit of the eighth edition of Kinomural • Festival of New Media Art 💥

You filled the streets around the projections, moved between the walls, stopped to take it all in, came back for more and together with us, you created this year’s Kinomural.

See you next year, when the walls of Nadodrze become screens for the ninth time!

The conversation continued after the talk. 🎤

@rekabooch had a personal and engaging conversation with @seanbuckelew, giving us an even closer look at the person behind the work.

We then opened up the conversation to the audience, who came prepared with some great questions. 💛

When perfection becomes cheap, intention becomes expensive.

Has @kaboomfestival 2026 touched you? 🤩 it was the question in @brittraes’ guestbook for the festival, with this years theme ‘Human touch’.

As an animation film student at the Kask in Gent, Janneke volunteered at the former HAFF festival. As a guide for the short film jury members (as Igor Kovalyov, Gregory Barsamian, Steven Subotnik and Marc James Roels 😁), she saw the whole short film program for two years in a row. It would be a dream to be there with a film by herself, but her graduation film didn’t get selected. How happy and proud we were to be there in 2016 with a small 2D project: Mijndert. The poster from that years’ festival by Blexbollex still has a good spot in our living room. ♥️ When HAFF festival combined with KLIK! Festival to Kaboom in 2019, we visited almost every year to visit the industry days, to meet animators and watch a lot of animation films. But we ourselves were always the filmmakers that were working on a project.. never had something to show.

It was so nice of Kaboom to already invite us to tell a bit about Zwermen during the Industry days of 2025. Little did we know by then: the film was just finished, but waiting for a premiere. One year later, we won Best Dutch Short at our beloved @kaboomfestival and couldn’t be more TOUCHED 🤩

I thought it was about time I shared some @kaboomfestival memories! Part 1 🩷

In all honesty, it was both inspiring and daunting to be surrounded by such talented people. There's something about animators who bring creativity to absolutely everything. It's beautiful 🥹 I had such an incredible time at the festival, and being on the jury with @rekabooch and @seanbuckelew was absolutely wonderful. I learned so much from them 💖

Thank you for inviting me @tutulisek 🥰
