Two weeks ago tonight, we loosely mobilized the word “gala” by celebrating THE END with some good old-fashioned elitist pageantry, because nothing screams “we’re all gonna die” quite like cocktailing in a gown.

Thank you to our electric lineup of artists, our fabulous performers, 1 Day at a Time, The Pensofino Collection, and Fig. 19 for making this fantasy possible. THE END is now available through December 14th for your viewership pleasure.

THE END

RÉKA HORVÁTH | @reeqcii
DIKI LUCKERSON | @dikiluckerson
ROSALIE SMITH | @rosalieglsmith
DANIEL GIORDANO | @danieljgiordano
ENIO ARROYO GOMEZ | @enio.ag

THE END is proudly produced in collaboration with the @timewithspace curatorial residency and exhibition program, @1.day.at.a.time.nyc, and @pensofino

THE END is now available for your viewership pleasure through December 14th. Join us in this unnatural history museum of apocalyptic peculiarities Wednesday through Saturday, 12:00-6:00p, or by private appointment to experience this absurd banquet of speculative outgrowths.

Opening at @spielzeug.nyc for The End — fabulous, provocative work by @danieljgiordano, @reeqcii, @rosalieglsmith, @dikiluckerson, and @enio.ag.
Giordano’s deep-fried mutant-dinosaur-motorcycle and erotic abject technofossils met Horváth’s gorgeous kaleidoscopic rainbow paintings erupting with violence and chaos.
The gallery’s red walls punctuated by black and white suits, shimmering tulle and sequins of everyone’s “black tie adjacent” best.

Thanks to @ekayyy_must_be_the_monay and @pensofino for keeping the pulse strong.
And thank you @trucmorgane for being the best wing woman, as always.

After 12 excrutiating hours in the braider's chair, got home well past midnight, holiday season hair was ready just in time for me to make it to Spielzeug's gallery soiree last night. It was such a splendid gathering and art collection not to be missed. 🥂😎💋🎉

RÉKA HORVÁTH IS A PAINTER WHOSE COMPOSITIONS OF GLOBULAR, UNDULATING, AND GUMMY FLESH STRETCH AND CONTRACT TO BUILD TENSION BETWEEN POWER AND VULNERABILITY. MARKED BY A HAUNTING MATERIALITY WHICH COLLAPSES MUSCULATURE, CORTICAL CREASES, AND THE GELATINOUS INTO A TENDER YET ATHLETIC GOOP, REKA CHOREOGRAPHS DANCES OF FANATIC PIETY, SURREALIST EXPANSE, AND BODY HORROR WHICH BLAST TOWARDS THE BANKS OF ANNIHILATION. SHE CARVES SPACE INTO THE CANVAS INTO WHICH SHE VOMITS HER INTERIOR, NURTURING HER PSYCHICAL ENTRAILS TO GEL INTO A MONSTROUS FORCE OF FANATIC PUISSANCE, TEETERING ON AN IMMINENT IMPLOSION INTO THE MIND’S MOST IMMENSE RECESSES OF UNTRAVERSABLE INTIMACY.
