It felt like it came out of the blue…

But he had been trying to tell me for a while that he was unhappy I’d just been too busy to notice.

He was a burnt out pursuer. Trying to connect more, cuddle more but I had been so exhausted from parenting and working that I didn’t have the bandwidth.

And the one day my whole world felt like it was falling apart when he said he wanted a divorce.

I didn’t realize it had become that bad.

This wasn’t the end of my story. And for us it was really just the beginning of building marriage 2.0, stronger, healthier and happier.

If you want that too DM me MARRIAGE 2.0 and let’s chat.

Love ❤️

Most of the time, your husband is just mentally and emotionally exhausted.

A lot of successful men are carrying pressure they don’t even know how to articulate. Responsibility. Performance. Financial weight. Expectations. And eventually, that pressure starts showing up as withdrawal, irritability, silence, or emotional shutdown.

And 90% of these men don’t know how to say, “I’m struggling”, so it comes out as distance instead.

This doesn’t excuse emotional neglect, but it does explain why so many marriages quietly deteriorate while both people still love each other.

If you don’t understand the difference between indifference and burnout, you’ll keep responding to the wrong problem.

DM me the word “DISTANT” if this feels uncomfortably familiar. Let’s talk about what’s really happening beneath the disconnect.

Every marriage or relationship will get boring after a few years.

Get my guide that helps couples reignite without therapy and DM me ROMANCE ✨

We’ve been conditioned to believe that if the spark fades, the relationship is over.

That if you’re not feeling butterflies anymore, you must be with the wrong person.

But here’s what nobody tells you: every relationship will feel boring at some point.

Not because you picked wrong, but because you know each other now, because the mystery is gone, because real life has set in.

And that’s exactly when most people quit, they think the love has died when really it’s just changing form.

Love isn’t a feeling you fall into and ride forever, it’s a choice you make every single day to show up for someone physically and emotionally even when it’s not exciting anymore.

We need to stop romanticizing the fairytale version of love and start normalizing the fact that it’s going to get difficult sometimes.

It’s not always the laughs and the smiles and the fun you see on the surface, sometimes it’s two people with completely different upbringings and personalities trying to figure out how to build a life together.

And yes, there are going to be fights, anyone who tells you they never fight is lying because no matter how compatible you are, conflict is inevitable.

But that’s not a sign that it’s broken, that’s a sign that it’s real.

Relationships are both difficult and beautiful, and all the effort you put in to make it work is worth it.

If you want someone to never give up on you and love you unconditionally, then you have to do the same for them.

That’s the deal.

Here is what I now know about men 👇

✨Firstly, follow @sophieorozcocoaching for more on reviving your marriage.✨

For years, I didn’t understand men.

I was raised in a house with four sisters and a dad who traveled a lot, so I didn’t have many men around me to learn from. I had to figure things out the hard way in my own marriage… through disconnection, misunderstandings, and some really painful seasons where we felt more like roommates than partners.

But here’s what I’ve learned and what I wish every spouse knew:

1️⃣ Men are often simpler than we assume.
They want peace. They want to feel like they’re doing a good job. And deep down, they want to make you happy too.

2️⃣ A lot of conflict comes from overcomplicating what’s actually a simple need.
Most of the time, it’s not about the argument. It’s about feeling valued.

3️⃣ Respect hits different for men.
When a man feels respected, he tends to show up stronger by being more loving, more protective, more present.

4️⃣ Men are emotional too. They just process it differently.
Sometimes they shut down, go quiet, or get defensive not because they don’t care… but because they don’t feel safe or capable in that moment.

5️⃣ Men and women are different emotionally, mentally, energetically.
Expecting each other to react the same way sets both of you up to feel disappointed and alone.

💔 And here’s the truth:
Most marriages don’t fall apart because there’s no love.
They fall apart because the connection gets buried under stress, resentment, and the constant feeling of “we’re missing each other.”

But the good news?
That can be rebuilt.
Not by waiting for the other person to change first but by learning how to shift what’s happening between you.

If your marriage has started to feel like roommate mode… you’re not alone.
And you’re not stuck.

You tell yourself you’re just tired. Touched out. Overwhelmed.

✨Firstly, follow @sophieorozcocoaching — for more on reviving your marriage.✨

But underneath that it’s not just exhaustion, it’s resentment.

Because when you’ve spent years carrying the invisible weight of the house, the kids, the emotional labor, your body starts to associate him with more work.

So when he reaches for you, your nervous system doesn’t read it as love.

It reads it as one more person who needs something from you.

That’s why you pull away. That’s why you go numb.

It’s not that you don’t love him, it’s that you don’t have capacity for closeness when you’re running on empty.

And no one teaches you how to repair that.
No one talks about how attraction can’t grow in survival mode.

Stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?”
Start asking, “What have I been carrying alone for too long?”

That’s where healing starts.

DM me “TIRED” and I will send you a free guide that will transform your marriage.
