See it. Touch it. Take it home. ✨

Great design is in the details, and there’s something different about experiencing those details in person.

Seeing the finish. Feeling the hardware. Comparing each piece. Then watching those selections become part of a beautifully finished home.

We loved working with @RelivDesign to help bring the details of this beautiful kitchen together. 🤍

At Connecticut Lighting Centers, we’re here to help you find more than a fixture or a piece of hardware. We help you discover solutions for the entire space.

Because lighting is just the beginning.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed that day. ✨

In Old Wethersfield, September 11th is not simply a date in history. It is personal. Our community lost neighbors, friends, and loved ones. Their names remain part of the story of our town, and their lives remain part of the fabric of our community.

We remember the firefighters, first responders, workers, passengers, and everyone who was lost. We remember the families who carried unimaginable loss, and the countless people whose lives were changed in ways seen and unseen.

And while today is a day of remembrance, it is also a reminder of something beautiful: how people come together when it matters most.

In the years since, we have seen neighbors show up for neighbors, strangers become friends, and communities find strength in one another. We see it here on our Main Street every day—in the small businesses that know their customers, the volunteers who give their time, the organizations that give back, and the simple moments when people stop to help one another.

That sense of community is something worth protecting and carrying forward.

Today, we remember.
Today, we honor.
Today, we hold our loved ones a little closer and appreciate the community we are fortunate to call home.

We will always remember. 🇺🇸

Thank you so much for the lovely review from our fervent guests-a very sweet group of ladies catching a little late summer getaway. “Absolutely beautiful Airbnb! The home was spacious, spotless, and even better than we expected. The location was perfect—close to beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and everything we wanted to do during our stay. The hosts truly went above and beyond to make our experience special. They were incredibly responsive, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, and their local recommendations were fantastic. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and making sure they have the best possible experience.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would 100% recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. We would absolutely stay here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”. #connecticut #summerinnewengland #girlsweekend #getoutside #beachtrip

This project brought together the kitchen, entryway, bathroom, pantry, and dry bar to create a cohesive, elevated look throughout the home. The goal was to combine timeless design with thoughtful functionality, resulting in spaces that feel bright, refined, and purpose-built for everyday living. We were happy to partner with Olivia Hanzel of @reliv_design to create this beautiful space for our clients. Thank you @kelleykamayphotography for these great photos!

The kitchen features custom cabinetry, chef-grade appliances, quartz countertops with a matching backsplash, and warm gold accents. Cabinet-panel appliances create a seamless look, while new in-cabinet and undercabinet lighting adds both style and function. A pop-up island outlet and pot filler were also added for convenience.

The pantry was updated with new cabinetry, countertops, and tile to create a more functional and organized space.

The dry bar was redesigned with matching cabinetry and countertops, along with a tile backsplash that ties it into the kitchen.

In the entryway, we added a new entry bench and tile for a more welcoming and functional entrance.

The bathroom was refreshed with new tile, giving the space a clean and updated feel.

Together, these updates created a bright, cohesive, and functional home with timeless finishes and thoughtful details throughout.

This is your sign to book a trip to The Pearl and Block Island🌊⛱️☀️. We are coming up on the most beautiful time on that special little island…the water is warm and the crowds are starting to lessen. With the New London high speed ferry just 10 minutes away from The Pearl, you can easily catch the morning ferry and be on the island in no time. (We love the 8:30am ferry so you truly have the entire day to explore). Rent a jeep, a moke or ride some bikes to lighthouses, the bluffs and the beautiful beaches. Enjoy a delicious lunch (and mudslide!) at the iconic Oar. Hike the numerous island trails and catch glimpse of the ocean (and maybe find a hidden orb!). Catch a bite in town and explore the adorable shops and galleries. There’s plenty of time to catch the last ferry back along with a stunning sunset! It’s a perfect way to experience the island for the day⚓️#blockisland #newenglandsummer #connecticut

Ciao Waterbury! 🇮🇹🇺🇸

So happy I was able to snap this pic on my way back through the “Brass City.”

Not sure how many of you have driven by this while risking your life on the mixmaster bridge, but I hope you can appreciate this magnificent tower rising out of the landscape. It’s one of my favorite structures in the state!

Fun fact:
This building represents one of the great examples of our Italian heritage woven into the architecture and history of Connecticut.

Waterbury Union Station opened in 1909, designed by McKim, Mead & White, one of Americas more significant architectural firms. Then in 1916, they came back and added this incredible 245-foot brick clock tower, modeled after the Torre del Mangia in Siena, Italy, which dates all the way back to the 1300s.

At 245 feet, the tower put Waterbury in the same architectural conversation as the great railroad stations of Chicago, New York and St. Louis. It was taller than the famous tower at St. Louis Union Station and rivaled Chicago’s massive Grand Central Station tower.

Even the clock tells a Connecticut story. Its four enormous 16-foot faces were made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company, tying it into Connecticut’s incredible clockmaking history — and right here in Waterbury, the Waterbury Clock Company would eventually become Timex.

Look way up and you’ll even find eight she-wolf gargoyles, the symbol of Siena, another nod to Italy and the ancient story of Romulus and Remus

In 1952 it became the home of the Republican-American — a pretty incredible early example of adaptive reuse.

A little bit of 14th-century Siena rising out of Waterbury, Connecticut, built at a scale that put this great industrial city alongside some of the biggest cities in America.

Che Bella! 🇮🇹

🐚 "Shello” everyone!

It's not often when I have a little down time to work on my art and keep my hands moving, so it's something treasured, regardless if I like what I create or not. Please take a look at a recent piece I painted while enjoying some sunshine along the coast.

The original hangs in our guest cottage in Waterford, just a short distance from Alewife Cove, Waterford Beach and Ocean Beach. This is an important place to me—somewhere I love to paddle, explore and spend time near the water—its slso the inspiration for this painting.

Alewife Cove is also a place where our native Eastern oysters once thrived, and we look forward to seeing there again.

I've created a limited edition of signed and numbered archival giclée prints of the piece. They are available for sale, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Alewife Cove Conservancy and the important work they do to protect and preserve this beautiful place. 🌊

I hope this will be the first in a series of pieces celebrating the beauty and character of the coast.

Hope you like it.
keep exploring@& keep creating! 🎨

Here is a link to an Etsy account where the piece is for sale. If you have any questions, please reach out to me. The sale is for the archival print and acid free mat. However, if you need help with framing, we can help there as well. I'm hoping we can make a difference for the conservancy.
