After 345 days (11.5 months), 280 job applications, 6 part time gigs, and lots of rejections and despair, I’m happy to announce that I’ve been offered a job with DOS!

Thank you to @justronchocolate for teaching me how to make beautiful chocolate creations and helping me hone my confectionary and business skills. I’ll forever be grateful for your mentorship and friendship. Thank you to @shann0n0 for pushing me to become a substitute teacher, it had its moments but I’m happy to say that I survived teaching the next generation (well the elementary kids- middle schoolers are SCARY). And to everyone who sent me other gigs from nannying, catering/bartending, a brief consultancy in AI, and as a clinical trial member @jhu_cir and @nihgov.
I couldn’t have done it without you!

2025 was the worst year of my life, but those low moments really show you who is there for all seasons of your life. Thank you to everyone who listened to me cry, vent, and scream. I appreciate all the love and support that I received from my friends and family- and acquaintances that came out of the woodwork to support me during the hardest parts of unemployment. Here’s to 2026 and things finally looking up! 🤞
