Some work from a while back made with @beepdeeboo 's help. Here's @remmunition 's short work going in depth into the concept:

It often feels like a part of me is suffocating. Faces do not register to me as if they appear through the plastic wrap. They are warped, broken, blurry, and muffled. There is not a time in my past that I can remember when people and voices not register in moments of overwhelming stimulation or emotion. It has been six years and maybe even longer; now, I can dissociate on cue.
“SMILE.”
“THEY ASKED A QUESTION NOW REPLY.”
“HELLO?”
The plastic is a noose. For those who have not struggled with this, it is a quickly descending fog. It clings and chokes, hard to shake off. A smaller version of me lives in my brain everyday, shouting commands through the midst in hopes that one day my body will act in reply.
Here, I am the embodiment of a person, alienated by their own mind, suffocated by my past. Everyday, I tug at the plastic that wraps around me and tugs my limbs along like a plastic marionette. All the while, I smile, I scream, I shout:
“HELLO? HELLO? Hello?”

Another day at the office 📍

Heard so many incredible young people speak up and speak out today! There was a protest happening in Washington Square Park around overturning Roe v. Wade, so I talked at length about abortion rights with so many different types of people. Also got to chat about everything from crypto, to masculinity, to animal rights, AAPI heritage month, and more.

Unity won’t ever happen overnight, but I have faith that the conversations we started today will have a ripple effect throughout gen z.

I met some amazing people, and obviously I’m biased, but swipe to the last slide to see my favorite guest I’ve ever had on POVz 👀

Back in June, @kevdmyers first called me about Juvenile Justice Ministry at @c3.nyc. It wasn't long before I filed the paperwork to make my first in-person visit to the detention center the day before Father’s Day.

Little did I know, the stories of those young men I met inside would become the basis of a project that has been the answer to so many prayers. In June, that film will have the incredible honor of premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival – demonstrating to the world that these children’s stories are not over.

I’m indebted to our backers, an incredible crew, and the faithful obedience of those who’ve gone ahead of us to do the real work in these facilities. Thank you thank you thank you. I can’t wait to share this with you all. Follow @chickenfilm2022 for updates and we’ll see you June 8-19 at #Tribeca2022!
