System Status: 2025 Complete.

1,692 Total Encounters (Attendees), 2 CHAPTERS, 1 node, 1 Studio Artifice production, 1 New Operating System

This year, we transitioned from a collective into a studio and operating system. We mapped the gap between the apocalyptic (004) and the ceremonial (005).

We took the abstraction of science fiction and manifested it into the reality of the operating system. Thank you to everyone who entered the simulation this year. The prototype was successful.

We are just getting started…

The Inferno gathers immaterial artifacts across digital media, sound, and generative systems, tracing speculative ecologies shaped by grief and collapse. Rather than presenting a thesis, it cultivates an atmosphere, a space of tension and delight. Here, visitors are invited to attune, to absorb, and to linger within the resonance of what emerges. - @renaisequois + @bobi.b0b1, BLACKBOX Co-Directors

——

ARTIFICE 005 The Ceremony of Earthly Artifacts is a one-day art, tech, and performance festival at ZeroSpace on Sept 20, featuring 12 works on ecological and environmental themes in both physical and digital media.

 ZeroSpace @zerospace
 345 Butler St, Gowanus

RSVP link in bio or visit lu.ma/005

Join us for a student designer visit with Renaise Kim on March 26th 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. (CST). Link is in the bio.

Renaise started out as a classical fine artist and then found herself in the digital product space after stumbling upon a variety of hackathons, scrum meetings, and the holy grail of digital design that is Figma. Over the course of her school career, she learned the value of intersectional principles of design from her peers and the greater community and found that the best outcome-based solutions come with diligent collaboration and patience. She hopes to uplift and learn from the people she encounters in adjacent spaces as design.
