Beethoven Plus Festival continues with a world-class concert in @kur_congresshausbadaussee 🎶 Dialogue of Style between Bernstein’s difficult and deeply felt Halil and Claude Bolling’s playful and manifold Suite for Flute and Jazz piano. Fantastic performance by @renatelinortner @arianehaering @panzldavid and Sebastian Rastl. A warm family atmosphere of a closely tied community, excellent organization (thanks to @mr._holzinger and @liane_holzinger family), a finely balanced program - these qualities of Beethoven Plus festival invite to visit all the concerts on the program.

Next is on the 19th of August in St. Ägid church in Altausee. This time a cultural dialogue between acoustic guitar of Johannes Tonio Kreusch and Doris Orsan‘s violin. Works of Piazzolla, Granados, Maximo Diego Pujol - from classic to tango. Infos at musikkammergut.at

🎙️ A journey through early music, Renaissance and Flamenco — aired live on @freiesradiosalzkammergut on July 30.

In our Club9 conversation, we talked with Dr. Verena Frey, artistic director of the Ausseer Barocktage, about this year’s festival and its musical dialogues.

We explored the sounds of early Spanish and Italian music, historical instruments, and the international line-up — from Fahmi Alqai and Accademia del Piacere and Flamenco singer Alba Carmona, to Renate Linortner, Aniela Frey, Toni Burger, Sebastian Rastl, Robert Schröter and Concerto di Margherita with Francesca Benetti.

We also talked about the festival’s venues, local participation and support, and the dialogue between the Ausseer Barocktage and Beethoven Plus Festival within the same community.

🎧 The full interview is now available to listen to online on the Freies Radio Salzkammergut: www.freiesradio.at or at cba.media/788303

The festival takes place from August 21 till 23, 2026 in Bad Aussee and Altausee. More info at www.ausseerbarocktage.com

Today at 3 pm on Club9 at @freiesradiosalzkammergut

The Ausseer Barocktage Festival is just around the corner, and todays I’m joined by its Artistic Director, Dr Verena Frey, on Club9.

We’ll talk about this year’s festival, taking place 21–23 August in Bad Aussee and Altaussee, and explore the idea behind the programme, „Baroque Alpine Sounds“. From Spanish Baroque and Flamenco to Alpine folk traditions, crossover projects, and historically informed performance, the festival brings together remarkable artists and fresh musical perspectives.

We’ll also take a closer look at this year’s concerts featuring Academia del Piacere, Aniela Frey, Renate Linortner & Friends, and Concerto di Margherita, and discuss what makes the Ausseer Barocktage a unique cultural highlight in the Salzkammergut.

✨ This is what the Piccolo community is all about! ✨

Next week, I’ll be sharing many more memories from an unforgettable week at the International Piccolo Festival in Marktoberdorf @internationalpiccolofestival … but here’s a first one! ❤️

After a wonderful concert in the church, the music simply carried on — surrounded by students, friends, laughter, and the most incredible atmosphere.

With the amazing @renatelinortner on traditional Austrian folk harp, and what an honour and joy to play piccolo alongside @natalieschwaabe and Vincent Cortvrint! 🎶

No stage, no distance — just music, friendship, spontaneity and a room full of people sharing the same passion.

This is the magic of the Piccolo Festival. This is our piccolo community. ❤️

A huge thank you to Nicola Mazzanti @nicola.mazzanti , our piccolo guru and inspiration to us all, to Nathalie Schwab for the incredible organization in Marktoberdorf and her amazing playing, and to @marta.rossi.piccolo and @renatelinortner for being part of making this wonderful week happen.

If you’ve never been to Marktoberdorf… come and join us next time! And if you’ve already been — you know exactly why you’ll want to come back. 😉

🎶❤️ Once part of the piccolo family, always part of the piccolo family!

What an unforgettable week it has been!

To every artist, student, pianist, composer, exhibitors, sponsors, supporters, and member of our staff, thank you for making this festival so special. Your passion, dedication, and love for music filled every rehearsal, every masterclass, every concert, and every shared moment.

Beyond the performances and the lessons, we created something even more meaningful: new friendships, inspiring connections, and memories that will stay with us long after this week...

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. 💚

Until we meet again… see you at the next International Piccolo Festival! 🎶✨
