✨update on my existence✨

**MAIN UPDATE IS I’VE DIPPED FROM THE GIS FIELD AND DECIDED TO FULL SEND ON A CAREER IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY
-> THIS IS MY WHY**

What I have realized over time is movement has always been a form of therapy for me, my mind, and my body. Since taking tumbling and stretching classes when I was younger, to playing a sport every season of school because why not, to solidifying my lifting journey with the help of my college roommate, movement has been a cornerstone of my existence. At times, when I have neglected movement and forgotten the true purpose of it, I have lost myself. But one of the amazing things about movement is the smallest actions add up over time, so when you show up for yourself, day by day, ready or not, not only does the work pay off, but you are given the opportunity to be present in your body and your current (and future) self will always be grateful for that.

That being said, what I failed to realize nor prioritize during my lifting journey (still on it of course), as someone who became accustomed to training alone, was how movement has the potential to be elevated by community. Over a year ago now, when I got a second job as a group fitness instructor on top of my full-time GIS job all while studying for my NASM-CPT(Certified Personal Trainer) and my drone license, it was connecting with members and watching the members connect with one another that kept me going and kept me coming back. Working that job honestly changed my life by opening my eyes to a line of work where I can harness my passion for movement, the fitness knowledge I’ve gained and continue to gain, my teaching and cuing ability, and my love for community, especially in fitness, all into a career that fulfills me.

I’m happy to say that I am now on my fitness instructor career journey. I couldn’t be more grateful. Grateful for my clients, grateful for the opportunities, grateful for the movement, and most of all, grateful for the community. 🤍
