Regional Debut ✈️💛🐟

Officially concluded my regional debut with the Virginia Stage Company (@vastage ) at the beautiful Wells Theatre in Norfolk, VA! What an unforgettable experience it's been. Come From Away is one of my all-time favorite shows, and I can still hardly believe I was chosen to be involved in this incredible rendition.

That being said, it certainly had its ups and downs --- from helping bail out the thousands of gallons of water that flooded into the theater to getting a beautiful bouquet from the wonderful @sydney_morefield despite her being hours away doing a production of the same show -- from a 20 minute long nosebleed going into opening night to two of my favorite directors (and friends!) from home making the journey out to support me at this exciting moment -- from wandering arguably sketchy locations to do my photography homework between shows to making so many wonderfully invaluable connections throughout the process -- it's been a wild ride unlike any experience I've had before and will absolutely help shape my theater journey going forward.

Special shout-out to Ren and Jacob for solidarity throughout and helping me not entirely lose my mind between the brutal commute, the rehearsal process, and chaotic decompressions following - you're both amazing and I'm so proud & inspired by all your hard work on this production and everything else you do 🫶

Anyways...we made it here, to the end of a moment 💛💙

COME FROM AWAY love letter: PART 1

My fellow islanders,

I knew this work would be transformational for me as an artist who was on the verge of taking a long break from performing (or tempted to quit altogether).

I didn’t realize just how strong the bond would be with you. From a fun first read through, catching us 9-5ers up in all day rehearsals, saving each other from chairography disasters, coffee talks, dressing room music videos, uncontrollable laughter during tech (I still don’t know what we were laughing at 😆), being able to see the potential in each other when we were feeling discouraged, to saving a theatre from further flooding (WHEELS!).

We personified the community & unity experienced in Gander, and I’ll keep banging that drum.

There’s probably a better word to capture the deepest gratitude, but really…I am so thankful. I would’ve missed the chance to work with such beautiful humans had I given up on myself.

I can’t wait to see what life has in store for each of you! I can only hope it includes the chance to work with you again.

The Cast is Here... And Come From Away is officially underway.

Last night, our cast and creative team gathered for their first read-through, kicking off the journey to Gander and the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers, 38 planes, and one small town that opened its doors to the world.

There’s nothing quite like the first time a company comes together around the table. Next stop: the Wells Theatre.

🐮Gypsy: A Musical Fable🥡
Role: Herbie

It was such a privilege to get to step into this role to close out my Sophomore year here at CNU! Herbie has been one of my favorite characters I’ve ever played! To play such a loving and caring figure throughout the show was vastly different from any shoes I’ve had the opportunity to step into on stage, and I’m so thankful for the lessons I’ve learned both as a person and performer from the opportunity. I loved every second of being involved in this production and cannot extend enough gratitude to the company alongside me that made this experience so wonderful! I’m so honored to have had this opportunity to play alongside some of the seniors in the department who made this the school I knew was for me. As well as for the friends and peers I’ve found or strengthened relationships with throughout the rehearsal process. To everyone involved and to everyone who attended, THANK YOU, and I look forward to sharing the next adventures to come!

⭐️ GYPSY ⭐️

I could go on for hours about how much this show and this cast and crew means to me, but for now I’ll say this:
I am BEYOND grateful for every moment I spent working on this show. Not once did I feel unsupported by my fellow cast members. All I felt was encouragement, love, and generosity. To my fellow cast members; I feel so privileged to have been your Mama Rose these past two months. Mama Rose is an absolute beast in more ways than one, and she was a challenge I was eager to take on. This challenge was made all the easier with you all by my side. Just like Rose, I have big dreams, and playing her has been one more step towards reaching my dream. To the crew: Thank you for all your hard work and support backstage and in the booth, you are all INCREDIBLE. These past two months have been an absolute dream, and I’m so thankful to have had this opportunity. I have grown so much throughout this process, and I’ll never shut up about it.
