This year was a particularly important year of connection with the Vancouver design community, especially for myself.

Participating as the Curator of Prototype at the Interior Design Show (IDS) and speaking with hundreds of industry professionals regarding the launch of the Kachi Design Agency in 2027.

With Design Vancouver Festival in full swing, the cities design community was out in droves attending events and creating connections.

The programming at IDS was well crafted and engaging. The show floor was always busy with conservations.

Open studios welcomed the curious, tours of architectural spaces like ADDAPT homes were sold out and phenomenonal exhibitions like OBJ:OBJ and homies took place.

Thank you again to IDS show director Will Sorrell and Design Vancouver Festival founder Becki Chan for all the hard work bringing Design Lovers together.

A place to pause.

Designed around the ritual of wellness, this outdoor retreat combines a sauna, cold plunge, and quiet spaces for recovery in a calm architectural setting.

Through carefully balanced light, materials, and atmosphere, the goal of the visualization was to capture not only the design itself, but also the feeling of slowing down.

This year I turned 40, and my dear, dear husband gifted me a trip to 3 Days of Design, in Copenhagen.

Here are a few moments that will live in my memory for a very long time.

• Ferm Living - Granitas in the Garden - full of life, with beautiful flower arrangements tucked into every corner of the space

• Vipp Family Walk & Talk - three generations sharing stories and perspectives

• Bergs Potter - seeing the pots I’ve admired for years, in every shape and size, was such a treat

• A private tour of Oliver Gustav’s studio - one of those spaces you don’t really forget

• Audo Concept Store - beautifully curated

• Frederik’s Church - Aesop installation - I cried. I just sat there in awe of human creativity. This little pocket of tranquility in the middle of a busy city

• A-N-D opening party - a big, heartfelt congratulations to our fellow Vancouverites

• My dear friend, Golnaz ❤️

• A stop recommended by Mary - I didn’t take a single photo of the beautiful furniture... but the food? That I had to photograph

• Hallis installation - so, so proud to see Canadian brands shine
• Dinner at Aamanns 1921 with friends
