Watch @rep_it_out_julia eyes in this sequence (33).... with a great finish by @aubrey.lynn27 ! Sequencing and "set ups" are not taught enough... if we think in terms of multiple plays... multiple rows ahead... we can then take more risk forcing the defense and blockers to adjust to US.... so when I need to run a play- or pull off a shot- tip- etc.... it's wide open

As a setter, you wanna know what plays you want to run when we get into the 20's... which means the combos or the plays I run out of the gate might be "set ups" for what I want to do later

The reason we throw junk in the middle or are attacking isn't always to score but to force the corners open for our pins and middles...

To make the libero set more balls and see if they score or error.
So much on this topic...
The other thing you'll notice is the passing allowed for the fakes and attack- middle did their job and was in the air. This is when volleyball gets a lot of fun. Great things happening over @stl_vb

Julia is right front. Pay attention to her eyes as the play progresses.

The KEY here is that it happens off of a fast transition and the defense is moving to their base still. Shhhh....don't tell anyone I just shared that;-)

A setter that can look across the net....
As well as use their peripheral vision can tear up blocks and defenses- while allowing their hitters to get great match ups and one on ones....

Notice how excited her coach (Nebraska player) got for her team. Dani and her staff are doing great things here.

Julia has a long way to go, but this is a great competitive sequence w a group of incredibly skilled players

Share this w a setter. This works like magic from the back row as well (maybe better) - if you understand the timing of when to do this- you literally can get 2-8 kills a match.

We have another ALL-AMERICAN 🇺🇸 in the house‼️
Congratulations to 14-1 Setter Julia O’Keefe on earning this high honor.
She lead her team to a 5th place finish at Nationals and we are beyond proud of this accomplishment. Well-deserved, Julia!

Pretty sequence - attack on 2nd ball, then fake attack on 2nd ball with a side ways 32 set for no block for our pin Hannah.@repitoujulia
